Mrsh2b - I think along the same lines as Nutella - just try again with it. Is it something that can be frozen? Freeze it then have another go in a week or so. Even now there are meals that G will gobble down one day then exactly the same thing a day or two later will be refused point blank. I don't give a second option of a main meal but as long as he's tried it I offer fruit and yogurt.

Yay for rolling Sparkles!!! So very exciting isn't it!

Hope that poorly babes are feeling better (and their mommies too). A has been suffering with a horrid cold the past couple nights - last night was particularly bad; we were up at 2:30, 3:30 and 4:30 when I brought her into bed with me and we "slept" propped up until 7.
I had a meeting with work today to discuss my request to reduce my hours - they couldn't confirm my request but did say it was likely to be agreed. Our service is currently going through a tender and if we're successful it would suit them that I want to reduce my hours. If we're unsuccessful, they'll agree my reduction and I'll be tupeed across as a part-time employee so all in all sounds positive.

How do you know if LO is teething? I'm not sure if A is just a little off-colour because of her cold, or if she's teething.

    Morning

Saffagal, sounds like your meeting went well. It could be teething, or it might not be. Tbh, Aiden had that many teething symptoms for ages but teeth didnt actually appear until he was about 7 and a half months!

Mrsh, I would agree with the other posts. Try not to worry. This stage is just about getting them used to spoons, textures, sitting in the highchair etc.

As for us, LO is definately on the mend :) eating some cereal atm and lots more lively. He hates his meds though! He is allergic to amoxicillin so is on erythromicin and its so powdery! He screws his face up everytime!

  • Thanks ladies, I need to remember not to worry about solids yet. I'll get there!

    Great on the rolling sparkles!

Saffa my lo had a cold last week so I know what your going through, he's only just got rid of his blocked nose! We had him sleeping with us for about 3 nights! Then I found his first tooth!

What's everyone up to today? I'm waiting for a amazon order! 4 days late! I've complained to the CEO! Will not be using them again after this order!!

Bought all Los Xmas presents already! He'll only be 9 months so he won't know much!!

That's not good, I've never had a problem with Amazon delivery.

Today, LO is going out with (great) Grandma this morning, I was meant to be getting some housework done but I'm going to have to go back to bed as I was up from 2-6 with horrendous pains, stupid gallstones :(
Then we might go to baby group if I feel better this afternoon, then we have my niece's 1st birthday party at tea time :D Got a beautiful little party dress for LO and can't wait to see her open all her presents, although I'm sure the wrapping paper will prove more popular for the first couple of days :rotfl:

Glad A is on the mend sunshine :T

Hope your parcel turns up mrsh2b, must say any time I've ever had to contact amazon customer services (very rarely) they've been really helpful, hope you get a refund or something out of it.

G is still under the weather - he woke at 11.30pm and wouldn't go back in the cot so I ended up dozing on the sofa bed in his room with him laying on me. Got a heck of a stiff neck now! Expect we're going to have a nightmare getting his sleeping back to normal after this :(

Well done for rolling sparkles !!!

What a brave boy Noah is :) hope you are okay too Sammie. Know it isnt nice, they did bloods and drips etc when A was in hospital and it wasnt easy to see.

Aiden is sleeping now so just going to try and start the washing, there is tons at the mo.

Anyone know how delain got on with her foot and arm?

Hey hey, I'm here and fine

all I got from the soup was an empty tummy, a very upset toddler and a minor scald :rotfl: it was the neuro side of things I went to the doctor for!

Problem is, the issues I have aren't things that are obvious all the time and don't show up so well in an examination. So half the time when I have these problems I don't go to the doctor because there is nothing they can 'do', and I feel like a pain going there with symptoms I can't demonstrate IYSWIM. Anyway I think he's considering re-referring to neurology which is daft because the neurologist will just say 'what are you doing here' :o The GP gave me a blood test form and ticked every single box on it (probably so he felt useful :rotfl:) so I had about a gallon of blood taken yesterday....

Glad poorly babies are seeming better, as someone said they seem to be sneezing and coughing from September to April ;)

Little miss fell out of bed in the middle of the night so ended up with us... then she woke up at 6 and is now so tired it's not even funny :( Squeak not much better bless her.

  • So I've gone to give lo some dinner (carrots and parsnips) made by myself, and for the 2nd day running he won't eat it? But will eat a peach yoghurt.

    I don't get it!
