  • Welcome Emma!

    Kay - sorry I don't can't help we don't get tax credits.
Oscar - fantastic that you have gotten a resolution, hope things carry on improving for you. Well done for sticking it out!

I've sorted my lo with his food, everything mixed with fruit pouch and he'll eat it, so he's had sweet potato tasting like banana!

Hope you all have a great weekend. Are you up to anything fun? :)

    Hello all :hello:

    Enjoy your night out sunshine!

Ewww Cake, gallstones sound extremely unpleasant :( Hope they manage to sort you out soon!

Good news on the tongue tie fix, Oscar.

Gilly how are you doing these days?

Not too much going on here either MrsH, was going to go to sainsburys but have woken up feeling rather unbalanced and weird so just hoping it passes :(

Little miss is due to go to sleep soon and I expect I'll end up folding washing :rotfl:

Had to put the colour bits of the buggy in the wash again yesterday... When I manage to sell the other one I'm definitely going to get a darker colour set as the light grey it came in is very unforgiving for sticky fingerprints!

Because we don't have anywhere out of the way to keep it, it lives in the living room at the end of the sofa and little miss likes to go and sit in it, so even the hood gets fingerprints as she holds it when she steps off the sofa into it :o

Just a quick further update - we decided to see a private lactation consultant yesterday who diagnosed a posterior tongue tie and snipped it quickly and without too much fuss or tears.

I think I have noticed a bit of a difference already (barring the early and late feeds when we're both a bit too tired), but will give a few more weeks before deciding what to do.

Big huge thanks to fluffnutter - if it hadn't been for you I would not have known what was going on.

Aww, brilliant! I'm so pleased. Like I said, it might take a while for her to get used to rippling her tongue properly, so don't worry too much if things aren't different straight away. Onwards and upwards :)

That's not on! NHS guidelines say that the GP HAS to refer you and it has to be all done and dusted in 18 weeks. I'd get back to your doctor!

Wow its very quiet on here today!

Sparkles, they were going to do the op at a smaller hospital in the area at 1st but as I have a heart thing they said they wouldn't feel comfortable doing it, even though I have no problems with it. So I had to go on the waiting list again. Then they said a private hosp would do it instead. Who also said the same thing! So now I'm back waiting

Well Im very impressed with my bargain-hunting self! I have been looking at decorations for the girls upcoming 1st birthday party. I found some on Ebay and the cheapest they came at was £38 for paper plates, cups, cupcake stand etc . I went to town yesterday and got some really pretty ones from Home Bargains for about £12 :T And because they were so cheap I got extra :rotfl:

We are going on our holidays in the morning. Only 5 days in a caravan but better than nothing! The car is UNBELIEVABLY full :o. Im just hoping its clean. Anything else I can deal with!

  • Hello ladies,

Wow very quiet on here today :(

My oh wants to take me and lo away for a couple of days in November when he is off but I'm struggling to think of anywhere, and what sort of things we can do with a 8 month old? If you can suggest any place it would be appreciated. We live in north west and only want to drive 2 and half hours really.

Personal question coming up: (first time around) how did you keep the relationship working? Me and oh have had a talk and decided that we have been really lazy since lo has been born and need to make a huger effort with each other.

  • Not sure on your second question mrshaworth2b as we're the same. As for things to do with eight month old, what about somewhere with indoor play or animals? That's the sort of thing my niece liked at around that age (she's just turned one). Don't know the north west at all though!
