I'd definitely recommend the Microlife non-contact thermometer that we've got - doesn't matter if your ears are full of wax
I do a deal with LO: I get to point it at her forehead first, and then she can point it at me afterwards - she's fascinated by the blue light that it emits. I sometimes even check her temp in her sleep if I know she's unwell. Magic indeed!

Bought LO her first boots today. I remember Katie once saying that baby shoes are the cutest thing ever, but I think boots might just be even cuter
She wasn't sure about them at first and struggled to walk, but did enjoy chatting to the owl pictures and loved the fluffy bit at the top. So to get her used to walking in them rather than just playing with them, I put on a pair of boots myself, and then we marched around the flat, holding hands and singing
And then she didn't want to take them off :rotfl:
ETA: Sunshine, how's Aiden getting on with his boots now?0 -
I have got a thermometer somewhere... I think
I just tend to feel their forehead and that's good enough for me.
Little miss was awake ALL DAY today and a very tired menace by tonight.
We went to Sainsbury's to make the most of the 25% off as the twins are short of clothes... But do they have a single thing in age 10? yes. One awful dress!! I did manage to get some lovely things for little miss and Squeak but the twins really need some warmer bits for winter *sigh* So I'll have to pay full price for it when they get more in
Well I've been mega busy today, done loads of washing inc my bedding which is an epic job... about 3 loads besides that was well as cooking and putting the dishwasher on 15 million times
Think it's almost time for my shower and bed I reckon.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Boo! I've never understood why Sainsbury's don't have an online ordering option for clothes. I find our nearest store to be a bit hit and miss when it comes to stock. I decided to avoid going though as I knew I'd be tempted by the 25% off, so did my food shop in Tesco instead, as it's normally a free-from-temptation Pink Zone. Turns out they actually have a few really nice things for winter, so not only did I spend £25 in store, I also ended up ordering some stuff online that the store didn't have in LO's size. Ooops!0 -

Oh cutewhich ones did you get, link to website?
Nursery tell me he wears the welly boots fine when he is going outside to play, we put them on Friday though and he wasnt impressed! Maybe when his friends have them on it doesnt matter
He has been alot better this evening, went to my mums and he saw my niece which always cheers him up, infact next time he is ill I am just going to take him to my sisters as he was laughing his head off!! He even ate 4 spoons of chicken dinner and a yoghurt. Put him to bed when we got home but he woke about half hour ago with a temp so gave him some nurofen and put his fan on. Really hoping I get my bed to myself tonight without little legs kicking me!!
Hope George sleeps better tonight Katie.

I love love love the girl's clothes in Sainsburys at the moment, but I'll have to go next week as hopefully they won't have such a run on the clothes when the 25% off finishes.
Little miss did need the super cute cardigan with the fluffy lining though. Perfect for days like today when it's not full on winter coat weather.
Squeak got a cardigan with horses on it (which is the same one I wanted for the twins!) and she looked super smart this morning in her leggings and slip on charity shop shoes* she looked like a little grown up bless her
*shoes that she saw in the scope shop in town for £2 or something silly... every week she would make a beeline for them and take off her own shoes and get upset when she had to put them back. In the end I caved in and got them for her and now she wears them more than her £30 odd clarks pair!!
We like wellies here. Squeak and little miss have rainbow ones (I was going to do a link but computer says no!)Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Afternoon all
Hope the little people slept well - how are Aiden and George doing today?
Delain, cardigans are fab, aren't they? I've just counted, and LO has nine! Layering is the way to go in this weather though - plus, I never quite know how hot it's going to be at the nursery and whether or not they're going to have the door to the garden open (it's got a roof, so they can play outside even if it rains), so LO often wears something short-sleeved with a cardigan. I had a grown-up girl this morning too, proudly wearing her new boots, dress and cardigan
Sunshine, these are the boots I bought for LO. I think she now officially loves them, she was pointing at them and grinning this morning0
