I also braved the hairdresser yesterday after tanking LO up for over an hour. Less than half an hour later (and just after the first foils were on) E started screaming her head off and chugged down nearly 5 oz of EBM, and still wanted more! I ended up trying to stick her on as discreetly as possible despite the sideways glances of the bloke beside me (cringe). Thankfully after a few minutes she fell asleep and napped for the rest of the appointment!
Well done for bf in the hairdressers. Sideways glances, I'd have probably said "Do you want some??!!" But then I'm mouthy :rotfl:
You shouldn't feel awkward! I really should get my !!! to the hairdressers, I've got no excuse DD1 is 18 mths! I would love to take her for her first haircut, but she's got to grow some hair first!! :rotfl:Got married 13/11/10

My LO's got enough hair for us all if anyone's interested? :rotfl: There's so much of it now it takes longer to do her hair than get her changed and dressed in the morning. But it does mean I get to play with hair accessories
ETA: ...which reminds me: Katie, we haven't had an update on G's hair for a while. What's it up to these days?0 -
Does anyone know if a Maclaren raincover is covered by the warranty? Ours has ripped, and we've only had the buggy since Easter...0

I'm not sure, but it didn't feel like I had to do a lot of convincing. E was looking for a feed within a few minutes of her arrival so she was able to observe, and as well as getting advice from her colleague at the baby clinic about positioning I've been attending a local breast feeding support group for the last few weeks and the volunteer there has worked with me on positioning, but the latch is still very tricky. I think she reckons there is something not quite right too. Having also read up about it (thank you for the links etc!) I think I probably came across as someone who had genuinely tried everything within my power and now need some professional assistance. TBH I was going to insist on getting a referral, but it was great not having to fight a battle over it.
The plan now is to express as much as possible over the weekend and try and build up a stockpile so we can give E some feeds via bottle as although she loves being at the breast, her feeding seems much more efficient by bottle, and hopefully if we can get her tummy full fairly quickly she'll also be able to nap more. Neither of us having been getting much sleep, and apart from her screaming a lot it's so upsetting to see dark rings under her eyes.0 -

I'd email the manufacturer and ask. I've found most companies will just ask for a few details and will send out new parts. They may ask for proof of purchase though. If you bought it online then an email or something will do.
I did it with my Uppababy Vista, DH was stupid and kept pushing it into curbs and not tilting it and cracked one of the wheels, they sent me a new pair in the post via courier within a few days.
Failing that I think you can get cheap covers for most buggies.
Hope you get it sortedGot married 13/11/10

What a week for us and our lo, his first cold that has passed on to us, and today 1st tooth has cut through!
Lo has had me in tears all morning however, doubting all my parenting skills, I thought he hated me. He's been off his bottles (having 150ml instead of usual 200+) putting his nose up to all good offered and screaming when it came to nap times!
When it got to dinner and he stuck his nose up I stuck my finger in his mouth and lo and behold we have a tooth! Now I'm relived I know what's going on. I feel so silly for being so upset!
What's best for helping them?
Oscar - glad your getting help, bf sounds hard enough without having tongue tie added!
Nutella - hope you sort lo's bottom, I was lucky my lo never tore the whole 3 months he had rabbit poos! God knows how we got away with that!
Lazy wife - I was only reading your tooth post yesterday and now we have one too! I believe your lo is a bit younger than mine thoughwe're going through it together!

We used teetha powder, but to be honest we've had very few problems with teeth. I'm not saying it's all down to it, but I put an amber teething anklet on my LO when she was 3 mths old and she has had almost next to no problems with her teeth and she has 16 now. We did have some really yucky nappies and she did projectile vomit a couple of times, but the teetha powder seemed to sort that. I think the constant dribbling caused her stomach to be more acid than normal hence the yucko nappies and the vomit.
We have a greedy guts baby so we didn't notice any changes in her appetite. She was 18 mths on the 25th and last night demolished an adult portion of lasagne!?! I have no idea where she puts it all though as the tabs on her nappies still almost meet in the middle!!Got married 13/11/10

MrsH, yay for tooth! :j We've tried the powder, the granules, the biscuits and Bonjela, but the only thing that's ever stopped the screaming in the middle of night is a combination of Nurofen and lots of cuddles
My LO doesn't lose her appetite either - goes to show (yet again!) how different they all are.
