Sorry you had a bad night sunshine. Hopefully he'll snap out of it and start sleeping again properly.
G is awake, he's really hot to touch but the thermometer is only reading 32? Before his nap he was at 36.8. Stupid thing, 32 can't be right! Think I'll have to get another, for my peace of mind.
And we've got a flipping 2 man film crew from channel 5 coming round at dinnertime to interview us about a silly video my OH made for YouTube. Typical - after two awful nights sleep and when G is under the weather too! Concealer will be liberally applied...
We have the braun thermomer, I bought it after he was in hospital as its the one they used. Id reccomend it.
Channel 5 sounds exciting! Let us know when its on?!!
Aidens playing with his cars now....just bought me the calpol though and said more!!

Morning all
Sorry you had such rough nightsOurs wasn't too bad, but as usual she ended up in the big bed with me. Nothing else works at the moment - she just wants cuddles
LO's currently rearranging the contents of my wallet - a special treat to enable me to sort out my internet banking and pay next month's nursery fees. Never realised I had that many loyalty cards - seeing them spread out all over the table is quite a sight! :rotfl:
We're off to Tesco and Clarks in a minute - Tesco to pick up some clothes for LO that I ordered online, and Clarks to get her winter boots. Yes, I know I said I wasn't going to buy them until we got back from holiday, but a) I'm too excited. Sad, I know, and b) I'm worried it might be really cold when we get back and she'll need them before we can get to the shop....
Really, really need to start packing - we're off Thursday morning, and I'm working Mon-Wed
Hope everyone has a good day. Katie, good luck with the filming, and Sunshine - happy shopping!0 -
Ladies, is 34 a low temp?
Because lo has had a cold, we took his temp because he seemed sweaty in bed, but it was 34, oh said this is low so we rang nhs and the guy said he would expect to be touching a cold peice of meat for 34, however any time I have taken his temp at night it seems to be around this.Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Humans don't have temperatures of 34. Not if they're alive.
But don't worry. He's clearly alive, so either your thermometer is faulty, or you're taking the reading wrong somehow. Most probably dirty ears or incorrect position."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
I'd think you have a broken thermometer? It definitely shouldn't say 34.Got married 13/11/10

Our thermometer read 32 this morning - definitely wrong, and I'm torn between thinking it was the thermometer, or his mucky ears. He ears are full of wax so most likely that. Also if your LO is anything like G and wriggles that will give you a dodgy reading.Newborn thread member

My thermometer works fine on me and the OH, but is rubbish for Freddie. His ears are too waxy to get an accurate reading."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

I'm tempted by one of the forehead ones to avoid having to upset a poorly baby by sticking things in his ears. Anyone got one they could recommend? Nutella do you have a magic one that you don't even have to touch LO with, or am I making things up again?Newborn thread member
