Dare I even try to help him and I get the look of death and a tantrum from hell
I DO IT has never been more appropriate sadly

Thanks Gilly - for now I think we'll stick with the Munchkin suction plates and bowls as we have a glass dining table that they stick beautifully to, but that's good to know for when the time comes when she can be trusted to not chuck plates on the floor!
Ahhh makes senseA isn't bad, once he's done he just lifts his plate/bowl up and gives it to me. Took months and months of practise, praise and teaching to get to the no throwing stage

Lol! Isabella lifts up the plate/bowl and turns it upside down and says gone. Not always the case, needless to say some food ends up on the floor/her lap etc.Got married 13/11/10

To be fair to my LO she was really good at my parents' a couple of weeks ago - they have a wooden table which no plate will stick to, so she just used a normal plastic plate. She didn't thrown it on the floor once in the 10 days we were there - either because she's understood that this isn't what you're supposed to do, or because she now thinks that (after numerous failed attempts), plates in general stick to the table and there's nothing you can do about that! :rotfl:I think what started the lifting/tipping/dropping of plates here was discovering how well blueberries roll. Sadly pasta dishes and lentil curries don't roll quite so well and end up on the floor in a blob...0

My just one year old has started 'pileing' food on the floor when he's finshed...he literally will drop it on the floor but in the same spot so theirs a little pile of food...I suppose it beats 2 weeks ago when he was finshed he would just start spalting peas with his hand -.-
On another note, he has an ear infection so have bene curled up with him all dayPoor thing.

I'd recommend Oxo Tot cutlery Fluff. Aaron has been successfully using that for around 7 months now. We use the bowls and plates too. He can do his own, cereal/weetabix/porridge/sloppy dinners like cottage pie but not without mess like Nutellas LO. I dream of the day I have no dollops of weetabix on the floor
It'l come one day surely?
Yay for sleeping through the night too, shows they do it in there own time
Well, you say 'in their own time', but he's had a bit of help. Four nights ago I decided to cut out the night feeds. If he cried the OH went in to soothe him and offer a sip of water, quick kiss. First three nights, he woke fairly frequently (but improving) and settled very quickly. Last night, not a peep. Big hugs lazywife. It WILL get better and you will be able to achieve everything you need to/want to, at some point in the future. I remember in the first couple of weeks thinking how on earth am I ever going to leave the house again as A needed/wanted to feed almost constantly. But... it got better and now I regularly go out the house. We even went out for dinner the other evening!
Fluffnutter YAY for sleeping through the night, well done Freddie!
Nutella Yay for eating breakfast without a mess!
Afm, A is now well and truly sitting up and gets quite cross if you try to lie her down. She's desperate to move and rolls herself onto her stomach and scoots backwards which results in tears of frustration as the toy she is after moves further and further away. I am slightly concerned about how quickly she is meeting her milestones as am a little sad that my baby is so desperate to grow up and be on the move. We started swimming lessons this week and after the initial wondering why we didn't get straight into the pool as usual, she loved it and participated well in most of the things we did.
This morning she did me a real treat and threw up ALL over my face/chest... I cleaned her up, popped her in her cot with music playing and jumped in the shower - ugh!
She has a cough at the moment - I took her to the GP who checked her over and said if she has a fever for three days, bring her back. But she has no fever and her cough seems to be getting worse. In all other aspects she is her usual self though.
Have a lovely weekend all,

Hello Everyone
Have read back, promise! Probs won't remember everything though!!
Supersaver - what a lovely thought about your wife's bday! If it was me, I would love some of the jewlerry Nutella posted, a spa day or maybe even a voucher for a family photo shoot?
I am sure she will love whatever you pick.
Fluff - fantastic about the sleep through. A started sleeping through recently too, took us 16 months!! We have the very odd rough night, which I put down to teeth, but generally he sleeps till 6:15.
Nutella - well done to your LO :T A does quite well with a spoon and fork too, we have some tommee tippee ones and some ikea ones, the ikea ones look like oxo baby but obviously I can't compare as I don't have the oxo ones. Also have a bown and plate from ikea which look similar to the oxo range.
Gilly- hope your move went well?
As for us, had two more viewings tonight. I'm so hoping one of them goes for it. One was a first time buyer, one an investment buyer so they can both move quickly and chain free. The investment buyer was very picky about certain things like the fact that we have no stairs banister (when we replastered we removed it and didn't really want it back up, we haven't missed it) and picky about the fact that we have a hedge and a tree that she would need to chainsaw down. The first time buyers seemed nice but I can never tell anymore. Cross your fingers for me guys, I just wanna move!
Bamama - oh rubbish you have to return to workyou will get used to it I promise, and 3 six hour days isnt too bad, hopefully they will fly by.
Aiden is asleep and OH has ordered us a pizza
Anyone know how Sammie is?
