Evening all
Hope everyone's well.
Katie, that's so cute that George helped make flapjacks - I can't wait to start baking and cooking with my LO! And well done him for walking almost to the library and backI bet my LO would love a mini Henry too - she loves the big one after initially being scared of it. Now she likes switching it on and helping wheel the cable back in
Lazywife, we slept in separate rooms for around four months in the early days - LO and I in one room, OH in another. She'd wake up a lot and he'd be knackered for work, so it made sense. Now that she's teething (again), we end up with the same arrangement at some point most nights as all she wants is mummy cuddlesThe difference this time round is that I have to go to work in the morning...

Nutella I'm worn out just reading what you have to contend with on your hols! Hope you get a little bit of you time as well!
I wish George did like winding the cable back in my big Hetty hoover - its like a tug of war when I have to put her away! I highly recommend the toy ones - they have batteries in and actually suck up!
We're off up to mil's tomorrow for a week, got our first night out as a couple since pre baby planned! Nothing outrageous, just cinema and tea (maybe a cocktail) while we have mil there to babysit. Can't decide whether or not to take my (one) nice dress for it or if its a waste of precious case space when I'll only wear it for a couple of hours...

Hi Katie
I doubt I'll get any me time whilst we're away, I think it's going to be pretty full on! Devon or Cornwall might have been easier than sub-Saharan Africa!
I might get her a mini hoover for xmas - might as well get her used to doing chores! She likes to 'help' around the house, especially with the laundry and the food shopping. And changing bed sheets - she loves that
We still haven't had a night out since LO was born  I think you should bring your dress and make the most of it - enjoy!0 -
Take your dressNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0

MrsH the children don't have too many legs! It's just something about them
Mind you twin2 got her knickers in a twist this evening and was throwing shoes at me down the stairs (DD1's size 5 trainers, so quite a missile!) amongst other things, she's given me bruises on occasion, whereas the spider couldn't have actually hurt me so perhaps I have that wrong :rotfl:Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Just be thankful she wasn't chucking the spider down the stairs at you, the way you described it, it sounded like a missile of its ownNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -

Was given a bag of shoes today by a friend of mine which has made my day... Squeak had to have a new pair so we were in clarks this morning and little miss has been given a few pairs including some amazing pink crocs she has fallen in love with
Does anyone have any recommendations of good reads?

Delain your spider story did make me laugh and cringe a bit! I'm a 6ft man yet hate spiders, luckily we have 2 dogs in our house that deal with the spiders and creepy crawlers!
Been busy this past week getting ready for return to work tomorrow, it's Inset day so no pupils, then we have year 7 in on their own on Friday to get them use to big school without the other pupils.
I'm chilling out on the sofa enjoying my last day of freedom, Gracie is napping and my wife is at the hairdressers, have to cram my man telly in when they are both busy!0
