Weather still cool... Probably my fault as I went shopping on the last hot day and got squeak lots of summer clothes :o we went to primark where they had lovely bright coloured skater type dresses for 2.50 each so I kitted her out for summer for £12.50 :) It's been chilly ever since!

On shoes, the Clarks doodles sandals are wonderful. They don't look robust but are soft and comfy for little feet and they really last. Also they go in the washing machine and come out new. All of mine since DD1 have had them as toddlers, and I cant recommend them enough.

    Morning ladies

Rain here too :( we bought LO sandals yday too - typical!!

Bad night for A, told you I would jinx it lol, up and down with his teeth poor thing. Big red patch on his cheek and a high temp. Think the nurofen is working as he is currently picking at some toast, inbetween mouthfuls of goodies number jumble cereal! Yum.

We are off to the softplay centre later, OH has just gone to work for an extra job so will try and do some jobs whilst he is out.

Delain, I saw the doodles. My OH didnt think they would support his feet enough with them being soft, obvs they do or they wouldny sell them lol, I was thinking of getting him a pair for nursery as his normal shoes get scruffy and dont clean up well.

Have a lovely day all xx

They are worth it :) its the other shops you get unsupportive shoes, in cheaper places I've seen wedge as in high heel sandals in squeaks size

I'd better crack on with some housework... OH is busy this morning so we're having a roast later instead of at lunchtime which means either spending the whole evening clearing up or getting up to it on Monday morning :(

my family is quite poor back home but mum will never and i mean never buy cheap shoes, even if it meant she had to do 3-6 payments, she tought me a lessons, feet are very important.
LO and baby will wear fitted clarks or startrite, hush puppies etc.. but always good quality shoes. I but clarks on sale, last time i spent £18 and came home with school shoes and pe trainers.

    Evening all :)

Sunshine, we had a bad night too - that'll teach us for boasting about how well they're sleeping! :o How did the house viewing go? I guess it wasn't The One since you didn't mention it?...

Delain, I haven't seen Singing Hands - will have a look now thanks :)

Delain and Sunshine, I'm willing to share the blame for rubbish weather - I too bought sandals yesterday :( It just has to get better at some point though - I refuse to accept that this is what it's going to be like all 'summer'! Surely that lovely Tuesday in April can't have been it?...

We've had a good day - been playing a lot, had a nice long nap, went for a walk, pancakes for breakfast, even managed to do my nails... :D

Hope everyone else is well x

I'm hoping you lovely peeps can help me out. George was brilliant from about 5wks old at switching between the breast & ebm from a bottle on the occasional times we needed to do it. All of a sudden he won't tolerate a bottle. It's been a while since we've given him one so decided we'd best give him one to keep it up & he just messes with the teat, shaking his head from side to side etc & then getting upset. It worries me that when I need to go for a kit day at work or even just go to the gym we're going to hit major problems :( Any ideas?

mrs im sorry to tell you but my 5 months old took a bottle for a week when she was around two months old, then never again, i tried mam, tommee tippee, dr brown... some babes just prefer the breast
. I used to think that she was hungry so i used to offer a bottle almost every day for months but nothing ever changed so i just gave up:o.

Does he actually try to suck? Could it be that the flow now is too slow if it's the same teat as ages ago? Or the opposite? I don't have many suggestions other than trying different bottles :-/ Do you know people who can lend you a different one to try? I heard about Nuk and Mam being good for ebm babies, medela calma is supposed to mimic the breast but it's expensive to buy just to try. Maybe look on eBay?

My lo has learnt to sit up from being on her tummy! She crawls a bit backwards, opens the legs as if to do a split and supports herself on the hands until she's up. And she also waved to her reflection in the mirror today :D Dead chuffed.

Bamama, I hope the christening went well and you feel better.

And happy birthday for that DH!!

Mrs_B Not for my experience but I have heard the best thing to do is A - get a teat for a bottle that is most like a nipple, MAM are good for this as they have a flat teat sort of how your nipple will be in your LO's mouth, B - Get Dad to do the feeding so LO can't see you and/or smell your milk and C - Don't hold baby while feeding, put them into a bouncer or a seat of some sort.

Like Morocha said, some babies just don't take to a bottle if they're used to the breast. How soon would you be going for a KIT day? Will he be of weaning age? If so I'd be inclined to leave a cup (a doidy or similar) and try him with that and leave plenty of grub for him, one day won't upset your supply. xx
