Morning ladies, I'm glad it's getting more chatty on here again!
Weather is rubbish here as well so me and lo are chilling out today.
He's just had his first bottle, so we haven't been up long! Think we're going oh parents for tea tomorrow for oh birthday, not much you can do with a small baby!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
Katie, we were up at 4.30, which is her current favoured wake-up time
That's a loooong day when I'm at work, but when I'm at home I don't mind so much - I know she'll want a nap a couple of hours later and that I can have one too
I've just slept for an hour and 15 mins.
LO and I are off to do the hoovering upstairs - she 'helps' by following me around and switching off the hoover every now and then.
Eta: she's sleeping really well at the moment (touch wood!), no wake-ups at all last night, so I can cope with the early mornings. Would much rather have that than her being up screaming and walking and crawling and wanting to play for a couple of hours in the middle of the night...0 -
Morning all
Gosh Nutella, when did she wake up? Hope you are snoozing
House viewing at 11 here, then in to town for a bit of lunch we think. Raining herehorrible drizzly rain.
Think Aidens ready for a nap, up at 730 so dont know why he is tired already. Im gonna blame the usual - teeth

Yes we went to see her on Wednesday. She said she is more concerned that he doesn't respond to any noise, she rang a bell and he completely ignored her, he doesn't look at you when you call him and basically ignores everyone and carries on what he's doing. He is being referred to a speech and language therapist and having an ear test in the next few months. Fingers crossed everything is ok, I'm sure it is.
That's a bit revealing - perhaps it's his hearing. Did he have the newborn hearing test? When they ping something down the ear? Freddie had it when he was a day old.
And of course things will be OK. My nephew was as deaf as a post, no one could understand a word he was saying but he's absolutely fine now. They'll get to the bottom of it and get it all sorted"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Sunshine, hope house viewing goes well
(And now we really are off to do the hoovering...!)0 -

What are we all putting babies to bed in while its warm? Tonight my little man is just in a vest with a cellular blanket on his legs.
x
I don't mind at all, so long as there's a forum friendly one (meaning you don't mind seeing me in my pants!)
Last night George was in his nappy with a cellular blanket on the bed with usI'm really hoping its not going to continue for too much longer. As much as I love the snuggles, I don't get as good a nights sleep when he's in bed with us as he's a wriggle bum!

Glad shes sleeping better Nutella. I havent wanted to mention it in fear of jinxing...but Aiden is doing really well at night too. He goes down at 7-730 and I can usually time his wake up to about 12:00ish for his dummy, then he will either wake for the day at 5:45 or have some milk and snooze till 730. I dont mind the early rise as my alarm goes off at 6 for work anyway.
Mrsb...cant wait to see them
Aidens napping now, I need to get dressed for the viewing...but I am sat reading this!!!

Question... My dad wants to see us.. He lives a couple of hours away, is it fair to put lo in the car for that long, he won't sleep all the way so he'll get grouchy at some point!
We've been doing 3 hour journeys since he was newborn, we just stopped once or twice to lift him out of his seat. We even drove to Germany last autumn, that was a bit far though, he did get stroppy for the last hour or so!0 -
Hallo ladies
Muggy here too though it is drizzling. A has been sleeping just in a short sleeved vest the past few nights as despite having windows open the inside temp has been a constant 24deg since Wed.
Thanks to all your advice; I got her passport photos on Thursday at Snappy Snaps. Naturally, she was unco-operative and screamed as soon as I put her down. They managed to get an un-screaming looking photo - with eyes and mouth closed. I don't think it looks anything like her!
The hospital changed our hip scan to Fri afternoon, but including walking to and from the parking, finding a changing room and changing her, and the appointment we were only at the hospital for 20min so didn't even have to pay for parking! Everything is fine :j
I also made it out the house with A at 9:05 yesterday morning! The earliest I've managed yet so was well pleased. We were going to a breakfast meeting at our local children's centre. Hmmm it felt quite a lot like being at a work meeting; I didn't like it.
Since A was born 8 weeks ago, I have been out once without her - for 5 min when I walked to the chippy to get fish and chips for OH and myself at 7weeks old. Today after getting her down for a mid-morning nap (almost unheard of in itself) I left her with daddy and popped out to the village store for a good half hour. It was odd being without her, but also felt good to be "me".
We're cracking on to try and get the hall and landing finished this weekend. DH is busy doing a final clean before we basecoat it. I'm just feeding LO, hence being sat on here whilst he's working!
Hope the viewing went well sunshine
Glad to hear that the babies are sleeping better too
Ooh, very interesting to read the shoe topic - its a while before A will need shoes, but the speed at which time is passing!
Hope everyone has a good day
