I'm a bit concerned about shoes (when the time comes). Freddie's got really fat feet, not wide or long, but high if you see what I mean. I don't see how he'd get a shoe on. Is this normal or have I got a mildly deformed baby?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

A high instep? There will be a shoe for him, it might just be tough to find a pair that's all. Most reputable places (JL are good) won't sell a shoe they don't feel fits properly so all you need to do is take him in and let them work there magic. The frontier is never somewhere else. I'm sure they'll find something there are so many types of shoe. If you're concerned maybe just mention it to your HV next time, but I'm sure it'll be fine as long as it doesn't affect his walking.
My 15 mth old is a size 4F not sure if that is particularly big or small. I got her some white sandals in the Clarks sale for hollibobs the other day. I'm tempted to paint her toe nails, but thinking that might be a bit Big Fat Gypsy wedding!Got married 13/11/10

Yes we went to see her on Wednesday. She said she is more concerned that he doesn't respond to any noise, she rang a bell and he completely ignored her, he doesn't look at you when you call him and basically ignores everyone and carries on what he's doing. He is being referred to a speech and language therapist and having an ear test in the next few months. Fingers crossed everything is ok, I'm sure it is.:)DS1 10yrsDS2 7yrs :)DS3 born March 2012

Sounds similar to my LO. At Clarks they measure width as well as length, and they (obviously!) have you try different shoes until you find the ones for you  Some didn't work for her at all, whereas others were perfect. I wouldn't buy shoes off the shelf in places like H&M - cheap and cute as they are, I don't trust that they'd be comfortable enough for her, so until she's old enough to let me know, we're sticking to the more expensive option!
Until we went to Clarks, I didn't know that you can get shoes in e.g. 4F and 4G - the number being the length of the foot and the letter being the width. So you actually have a better chance of finding a good fit than you do with adult shoes (or indeed, children's shoes in most other places).0
