Question... My dad wants to see us.. He lives a couple of hours away, is it fair to put lo in the car for that long, he won't sleep all the way so he'll get grouchy at some point!
Should be fine hun, just stop half way or something to do some stretching. We drove to Liverpool and back, and the following week to Wales and back when Charlie was 7mnths old, and that was a lot longer. We just did regular breaks.
Pack the car with toys etc, do a halfway stop, and that 2hrs will fly by!! xDFD February 2012

Mrshaworth2b They do say not to leave LO in car seats for too long so I'd stop as well, even just for a quick leg stretch. Get LO out the car for a bit, maybe a quick cuppa for you to break it up a bit.
I'm so excited today and tomorrow left in work then I've got to pack as we are going to Spain for a week. It'll be DD's first time on a plane. Then we come back 2 days later I've going to London to see Michael Buble and then I have my 20 week scanGot married 13/11/10

If we're going anywhere over an hour or so (and lil miss is awake!) we tend to stop off and get her out the seat and to have a bit of air about half way, a couple of times she's slept the entire 2 hour drive to Brighton so was a bad mummy and left her be x0 -
Thanks ladies!
Lola I'm very jealous of buble!!!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
Hey everyone
it's definitely been quiet, I've managed to read back a couple of days without having to feed George, not that I can remember everything I've read!
Definitely jealous of your trip to see Buble Lola! We nearly bought tickets for maroon 5 but funds were a bit tight. I think the dates have been postponed anyway so we might get tickets in the future.
I know someone mentioned feeling a bit down, I can totally relate. I don't know why but I've been the same although I think it's mainly to do with the house needing a lot of sorting & tidying but feeling too overwhelmed but it all to know where to start
We've had a funny few days too with George being a bit off. He pooed last Wednesday (12th?), then had his 3rd set of jabs on Friday, rubbish nights sleep Friday & Saturday, swimming Sunday morning for fathers day & then he screamed for ages on Sunday afternoon, that horrible, in pain scream. We rang the out of hours drs who advised us to come in. He checked him over to check for any blockages, told us to give a second dose of lactulose & if nothing by lunchtime on Monday to go up to the drs. Another rubbish nights sleep & then Monday morning, the minute Daddy closed the door behind him to go to work, poonami erupted! He's not been sleeping right since his jabs although I guess the heat isn't helping. That said, he sleeps better when I bring him into bed with us which is a new development, he's been fine in his sleepi mini since he came home. I don't want it to become a regular habit him sleeping in with us though, as much as I enjoy it! Any tips, thoughts or ideas anyone?
Positives over the last few weeks are that George has found his feet & can now roll back to front & front to back! Although he still gets a bit annoyed sometimes on his front & cries until you turn him over :-) Its looking like we're close to sitting up soon too! I'm scared how fast he's growing up
What does everyone have planned for the weekend? I was on radio Sheffield this morning to promote Breastfeeding & I'm having a play with George whilst Daddy does some work on a friends car. Tomorrow is my first photoshoot since having George which is going to be fun, I'm really looking forward too it although I'm a little nervous too! Sunday will be a lazy day at home whilst daddy's at work, we might fit a swim in though if George fancies itI'm hoping we get nice weather on Tuesday as its our 2nd wedding anniversary & 12 years together so are thinking a trip to the seaside may be in order

TBH, many people are on fb these days. There's a couple of busy MSE groups on there that people are posting on rather than on here. I must confess I'm a little guilty of that myself.

Mrsb... How do you find lactolose ? We've just been prescribe it for my lo because of him being constipated on this staydown milk for his reflux? Dr didn't want I go down medication route for the side effects so decided to treat the constipation instead but I'm wary of using it on a 3 month old so wondering about others experiences?
It's my oh birthday on Sunday, bought him some aftershave and tried to draw round lo's hand to go on the card lol! It's my grandads birthday on Monday so I've just made his cards on funky pigeon, had a 50% off and free delivery on 2 cards so only cost me 2pound! And he'll love the one from lo because it has 2piccies on it and says great grandad, no doubt hell be showing all the ladies lol!
Oh and I'm not on Facebook and don't intend on joining so please keep me company ladies, I like to natter! Off to do washing up while lo is asleep! Can't have oh think I've sat on my bum all day! Even though I have oooopsNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0
