Comforters are nice, marta. I've got this one for Freddie. Or a muslin that smells of you.

Morning ladies, how was your night Fluff? Another good one?
We've got his 12 month jabs this morning. Really dreading these ones, think we'll be making a detour to the corner shop so I've got choccie buttons on hand to distract him once he's been poked.
G has a comforter too, and I'll second Nutelllas suggestion of getting a back up for when it just gets too grotty and has to go in the wash! It took months before he was really attached to it though. I used to just lay it on his chest when it was nap/bedtime and eventually he started to cling on to it. He's also suddenly got very attached to his Lamaze Rusty Robot, its normally hooked on to the buggy but recently if he's walking in the park he tries to unhook him and carries him everywhere with him. Too cute
We had him in our room til 4momths I think, when he got too big for his crib. I slept in his room most nights so I didn't disturb OH when I was up and down feeding him. I was So relieved when I could sleep in our room again though, never slept properly when I was sharing with him.
Eta: yes, i refer to Rusty Robot as if he is a person.;)Newborn thread member

Morning ladies
Hope jabs go ok today Katie - I too was dreading them a lot, but as it turned out they were probably the easiest ones so far. She cried for a few seconds, then got distracted by the Lettersaurus (who, Iike G's rusty robot, is referred to as a person - I've decided it's a 'he') and that was that. And no side effects whatsoever
Have a good day all x0 -
Well we had an unsettled night, and I know this is nothing compared p you other ladies but my lo normally sleeps from 9:30-7:30 with maybe one dummy wake up about half 5. But last was the first night in his crib from his basket, and he woke a lot with his feet out of the bars and generally unsettled. So I'm feeling a little tired todayNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0

Yes! Amazingly. Bed at 6.30pm. One wake for boob at about midnight then nothing until half five this morning. Early starts but it's all heading the right way"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -

Do you have him in a sleeping bag? That might help stop his feet getting stuck through the bars. They do go through a period though of getting into positions that they can't get out of, plus a change from the basket to the crib will always be unsettling. One of the reasons why I opted for a cot from day one. He'll soon get used to it but bedding might help - a bag or a blanket tucked tightly underneath the mattress might help keep his legs where they should be"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
Yeah we've got the sleeping bag, I tucked it in the bottom but he loves kicking his legs up so it ended up untucked and then he woke me crying because he had got his feet out
I was expecting a few nights of gettin used to the crib, I brought it downstairs so he could nap in it but he never took to it!Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
We stil have Jessica in our room and I am thinking as she is close to a year its time for her to go in her own room too. But I don't want to
She generally doesnt wake at night but if she does its easy to sit on the edge of the bed and whip her out or put a hand through the bars from my bed without getting out. Ha! Awww I just fight with myself constantly over it tbh!

Rebeca, thats one of the reasons I want some kind of bed.in her room, so I can sleep there if I need to.
Mrsharworth, mine did the same, with or without sleeping bag, because when it's not the legs it was the arms. My sleeping bags have zips all over though, she cannot get the feet out. I bought some air wrap / bumpers from safedreams, it has little holes so lo can breathe, but it's soft and slightly padded too, instead of being just a mesh. It attaches to the cot with Velcro around two bars, but it's quite adjustable because of it. I can measure it if you want.
Edit: lol, sorry rebekah, I mixed up your name and your daughter's before in this post!Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

I've just watched an old episode of Downton - the one where the old maid had to give up her little boy, good god I was in floods! I was so happy when G woke up so I could have a cuddle
.
In other news, jabs were ok. Only a little scream and a cry, run around the park and a few choccie buttons and as far as he was concerned it had never happened.
And Tesco baby event starts on June 10th. Their big boxes of nappies are on half price so £15 for around 196 (size dependant).Newborn thread member
