Hey all, hope everyone is enjoying the weather
sunshine hope you find a house soon. I luuurve looking at other peoples houses and regularly check out right move, as we would move if the right house came up and I like to know what's out there
but, it must be stressful when you find one and it goes out of your control.
Bit of a stressful day, dd1 has decided she's forgotten how to use the toilet 8 months after been toilet trained. 5 pairs of pants today  plus a wet settee pad - luckily the weather meant it was disinfected, dried and back on within the hour. She also informed me at bed time she had drawn on her carpet in blue felt tip  the carpet was cream  plus LO only slept 45 minutes from 6.15 this morning until bedtime.
On the plus side, tried a new bedtime routine, I fed LO whilst I gave dd1 15minutes to play in her room (as DH not back from work so on my own) LO went down at 7.10 and when I went to read dd a story and get her milk she had got into bed herself and was sparkoso I now have a cold beer, tea is on and DH should be home in 10 minutes :j hopefully LO stays asleep (she has done last two night until about 3 - although probably just jinxed it
)
Have a good evening everyone. Probably won't post til Monday as LO being baptised on Sunday so have lots to do tomorrow getting ready (church an hour away and doing the catering ) so I'll catch you all on the other side0 -
Enjoy the baptism jonnoNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0

Thanks for the recipe and the link, I had.forgotten about that website. I bought some baby biscuits, but she wasn't keen on them yet, a bit too big. I bought also a Mebby genious weaning feeder thing, it is basically a silicon pouch with handles and holes, so you put the food in it and the juices get out by sucking or putting pressure on it, has anyone tried one of this things? There are other versions with mesh nets, not sure which one is best, if any. Also bought a nuk cup/beaker, a vtech roll and play ball and a set of stackable cups. I cannot wait to try them!!! DH wanted to buy a walker, but I think it's a bit soon... Which one have you got and when di you think it's best to introduce it? Even if she just sits on it like in the jumperoo, do you think it's a good investment? I think she should encourage her crawling, and that's why i bbought the ball, but some people at DH's work have told him about the walker and he's already mentioned a couple of times.
Have a nice day on Sunday, get lots of pics!! I really need to sort out the baptism, I keep delaying it and she's a few days short of six months.
Good luck with the house hunting!
Day 4 of blw: munched and played with a bit of broccoli, cucumber, tomato and bread. I think nothing went in lol.Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

If you are BLW-ing you shouldn't need mesh nets etc, just a good 'finger' of any fruit you'd like to give should do the job, plus I've heard they're a nightmare to clean. Grapes should be cut in half but things like melon/pineapple/pear are good in fingers and when they're able to manage, strawberries whole are fine for them to nibble on. Segments of clementine/orange are good too.
The walkers that they sit in aren't recommended anymore link here but the little V Tech ones push along ones are fab, plus they can sit and play with the front long before walking. We loved ours of that. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
We had a v tech walker from 5-6 months - in the beginning it helped encourage her sitting up, now at 13 months she still loves it and plays with it every day, pressing buttons or wandering around with it. Well worth the £15 I paid for it0

No need for those mesh things, marta. They don't help with 'normal' eating. Just give her some food to play with and gum on.
I've bought Freddie a vtech walker. They're the walker of choice for today's discerning infant. He hates it of course. Punched it and burst into tears when he first saw it.

My garden's becoming a repository for a whole raft of things. Yesterday I found a medicine spoon, a water bottle, his hairbrush and my right flip-flop. All posted through the catflap by Freddie."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

The kids in the flat above us used to throw all sorts of stuff out of the window and into our garden when they were younger. One afternoon I found the whole family's toothbrushes + toothpaste; at other times we had cushions, crayons, various toys, a bar of soap and a wedding invitation.
But speaking of medicine spoons specifically - I'd looked everywhere for the one we use for LO's vitamins, and I knew she'd been playing with it, so I'd checked all the places where she normally puts things (our shoes, her toy box, the cardboard box by the back door, the basket under the buggy, the bin etc.) to no avail. Found it last night when I was taking the laundry out of the washing machine - it was all nice and clean after an hour on the 40+stains programme0 -
Hey ladies
You've been very chatty and I haven't had chance to read all the posts sorry
Loved fluffs cat flap delivery service :rotfl: My friends little brother used to flush things down the loo when he was younger so it could be worse! You do have to look for stuff but at least the plumber doesn't find it when the toilet doesn't work
Sunshine hope you find a new house soonMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o
