    Good morning all :D

Sunshine - good luck with the house hunting, I know you had your heart set on the other house but I'm a firm believer in that everything happens for a reason. Your dream house is still out there waiting to be found. :)

Noah loves walking everywhere now! He's a pro already.

I have his appointment through to see the paediatrician regarding his speech, it's only a couple of weeks away so not too long to wait. DP is working today and I need to get my butt into gear as we are all still in our pj's!

Hello ladies, I was out enjoying the sunshine yesterday, had a couple of glasses of wine with oh in the garden while lo napped!!

Saw my sister yesterday, she said something that annoyed me... Told me to ask oh's mum to babysit one day a week, then made me feel like I was strange for not wanting anyone to take my son every week, she was saying it as me having a break I know, but I'm not ready for leaving him on a regular basis! But she made me feel like it was strange?

Anyway tonight is my night out, I say night out, I'm giving him his last feed at 8 and will be back for half 12. But I'm excited anyway!

Other news, lo has learnt to scream in excitement, which is a new sound, means I can communicate even more now because I love a good high pitched scream lol And.... Lo is 12 weeks today, just over 9 hours ago, 12 weeks ago I was sat on that birthing stool waiting to meet my lo! How time flies! :D

Mrshaworth I think it was bamama (tho could be wrong) who had the same issue with relatives. I had a pushy ex mil who was similar. Some people feel they need some space and a break and some people like to be with baby 24/7. There is no right or wrong answer but it does cause friction in families!

I'm generally quite relaxed but when OH took my little 2 to visit his family for a few days last September I was a bit lost :o I love all the cuddles when they are little.

Poor squeak had some sort of nightmare last night and she was screaming for me even after I got there she was still asleep. Took ages to wake her and then I think she had the idea it was my fault she was sad! In the end I took her in our bed where she promptly snuggled right up to daddy :( I felt so neglected :o

This morning he left early though and she was as bright as a button wanting a hug so I'm not sure what was going on there.

My lo also screams randomly sometimes in her sleep, usually at nap time before waking up, though.

Thanks for the links, I showed to DH the one about not being good and he said we are not buying a full seated one, but one like yours, fluff, when she's ready. I rather buy in neutral colours, not keen on girly stuff and I plan to have a second child soon, so neutral would be best.

I didn't know about the feeder, oh well, I'll use it occasionally now we have it, it's less messy and she still has to put it in her mouth by herself. I tried banana in it, and she had a quarter of the piece by munching and mashing in the process.
She liked the stackable cups, although she just sits there bashing them and putting them in the mouth, or goes after them, lol. She wasn't that keen on the roll and crawl ball, but I think she will get used to it, too many sounds, lights and movement in one go, I'm sure she will love it when she gets used to it, I thought it was brilliant. It moves slightly, to encourage crawling after, and has animals, shapes, numbers and songs. She, however, sat and touched the buttons of the ball and threw and crawled after the cups, exactly the opposite I intended, lol.

I think BLW and messy go hand in hand I'm afraid :D even at 16 months I hate cleaning up after dinner, my most hated job, we had a whole plate of bolognese launched at the wall a few months ago  they do get better though and then they want to use cutlery so you're back at square one :o

Im sure I have some delightful pics, I'll have a look and upload them. Xx

Blw = mess, mess and more mess. No way of avoiding it I'm afraid! If you normally have your highchair on carpet I'd get a cheapo shower curtain to put underneath then you're not constantly trying to catch things.

Lovely day here, we've been to the park - G is only slightly covered in chocolate mini milk - and I'm going to do a spot of baking while OH entertains him for a bit.

Hope everyone else is enjoying the sunshine!

Freddie went to bed at 6pm, woke for a bit of boob at 10.30pm then nothing until 5.30 this morning. It's an early start but, hey, I'm calling that sleeping through. Woo!

Had my night out last night, wasn't as enjoyable as I thought it would be! I thought putting him to bed would make me worry less! But I just couldn't stop thinking about him and ended up coming home early! Just couldn't wait to see him and then today I've cuddled him silly lol!

Meant to be going to a do on Saturday and mil is meant to be looking after lo but after last night I'm not def sure about going! Hmm

Yay for sleeping through! Yay for giving hope!! Lol, mine woke up again every two hours, I think she's growing again and apparently she's in a leap according to that book/app someone recommended here (was it you, gillyx?).

Mrsharworth, I understand completely!! I went out for an hour last Tuesday, to a pub in front of my flat and after she was in bed. It was nice to chat to other people about non-baby-related stuff... But all I could think of in the back of my mind was that I wanted to cross the road and be back home with DH and lo. I kept checking the watch every so often and wondering if she was still sleeping or had woken up. I just don't like it, I felt as if I was forcing myself out, which in a way I was, and I'm not sure I'd do it again just for fun opposed as because I need to due to work or doctors. It all depends of what kind of person you are, I guess. I'm happy at home with DH and lo, and I prefer people to come and visit. But if I liked going out with friends, party or do other stuff, I guess I'd force myself to go out if family was babysitting, for my own sanity. Your lo will probably be sleeping, so I guess it's a matter of how you would feel and what you like doing. If you prefer staying, don't let anyone tell you it's not normal and you "ought" to be going out, and if you prefer going out, don't feel guilty, as it's just a few hours and lo will be well looked after. :)

Fluff, yay for sleep - long may it continue! :jLast night wasn't great here, but prior to that she'd slept through three nights in a row (bar a couple of dummy requests), so I can't complain.

Hope everyone is well and having better weather than us - it's cold and windy here :( We've been pottering about in the garden a bit, but apart from that we're staying in - that cold wind can't be good for LO's ears (her infection still hasn't gone completely...) and hats stay on her head for approx. 2 seconds before she pulls them off to investigate.

She's now able to climb up onto the sofa all by herself - and every time she does, she just sits there with a big grin on her face, looking very proud of what she just did :D
