Argh, phone switched off whilst posting before. Yes, we ended up with a tripp.trapp, DH kind of stuck with it, his ocd side kept telling me that the cherry colour was the only one that matched our furniture. I did showed him the babydan, I liked it, but he said he would pay for the tripp trapp and I didn't resist much. It was an ordeal to find the cherry colour I even contacted stokke! But I found a bundle with the chair and the baby set at a reasonable price from an independent retailer online.
I'm looking now at getting one.of those travel table high chairs, I like the fact that she sits at the table. I have £100 in points at boots, so I might get their chicco one, which also attach to the table. Although DH says we don't need it... But it's free! I need to convince him.
Boots has also a £15 off a £60 shop in selected baby products, there are most included.
I saw that kind of cloth harness for chairs, but I was thinking that my baby is still small and the table would be at forehead level without anything to put her up. And you cannot put it in places where they have "bench" seats instead of chairs, so I thought for a bit more the one that attaches to the table might work better for us. I saw a few being used at wagamama, they have the Phil and ted me too as high chair, and the babies looked happy. I might go for lunch with her just to try her in one lol.
Oh well, so much for phases fluff !! Lol. ThanksQuit smoking *1st January 2010*

Hello ladies hope your all enjoying the weather, make the most of it, Britain doesn't do sun for long!
Question for you, my lo is 10 weeks, regarding belly time, how much did you do each day? I'm trying to get him to do at least 10minutes a day but it seems he gets annoyed if I do it longer, he's getting better at lifting his head but seems he has to be in the mood or hell just face plant the floor lol. What were your babies like at this?Newly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -
We're at 6 months here and lil miss still hates being on her tummy! She only tolerates it with her daddy lying on the floor next to her and even then its 10 minutes max at a time - sorry not much help I'm afraid lol x0

Yep what Daydream said, some babies love it, some don't. If he's getting distressed or upset I wouldn't push it. I had a tummy lover from very young and he's slept on his tummy from early on too, but some don't. Even you laying on the floor and baby laying on you on his tummy if he'd tolerate that is goodThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Ooo makes me feel better, I keep reading everywhere by 3 months babie will be able to lift head off floor etc etc, he's always been ace at holding his head up, I've started laying him on me in bed and letting him lift it up and getting dribble all over my chest ha! But 10 minutes on the play mat and he starts to kick off, thank you for the reassurance ladiesNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0

Katiechoc - Thanks for asking. Babs is doing brilliantly! For the moment I have switched around and giving her her milk first and then her food, it doesn't make any difference to how much she eats, she still scoffs all of the food! She had avacado yesterday, she was unsure at first but then gobbled it up! I have increased the volume slightly each day and she now has 3 meals plus all of her milk.
Incidentally, little one is full of cold so we need to prop her up as she keeps choking on phlegm - would a cot wedge be suitable for that sort of thing? She slept in her car seat last night which is far from ideal but she was suffering so much there was only that or the bouncy chair to choose from. Actually she had a brilliant night's sleep in the car seat - we suspect that the cot gives her too much freedom to wriggle and she wakes herself up whereas the car seat had her "contained" if you like! She sleeps well in her pram too but she is about to outgrow that - are there any options bigger than a moses basket but smaller than a cot? I think she likes being able to touch the sides in her sleeping environment. Anyway, the second tooth is also breaking through at the moment so she looks rather cute!
Tummy time - only a few weeks ago I was saying how little one could roll at 13 weeks from front to back then for weeks after every time we put her on her tummy she cried. Last week we lay her on a throw and positioned a toy approximately at the 2 o clock position above her head so she had to turn to look for it, she worked really hard to get it and eventually rolled. She isn't great at it but she seems a bit happier on her tummy, even though it isnt for very long probably 5 minutes max. One thing that helped her around 13 weeks was putting her hands in the right place so she could push up, that really encouraged her to push up and look up - also dangling a toy above might help him to look up. If little one is tired or just not in the mood she cries immediately so we just pick her up as it just distresses them otherwise.0 -
what about a crib moneypenny? We had one but the minute they're sitting up unaided they can't be in them anymore as it's not safe
So it may be expensive for just a few weeks. A cot wedge would enable her to be propped up and the higher wedges need baba to be strapped in sort of so could stop her wiggling around x

Eeek I've been keeping mine in the basket because it looks so snuggly, I didn't even think about when he'd put grow it, oh keeps saying lets put him in it now but I'm reluctant for some reason! Think I'll have to start getting my money's worth before its too late lolNewly Married, not a 2b anymore!! Mum to two wonderful boys!0 -

Oh yes, if you have a crib definitely start to use it, they can be sitting up unaided by 5 months. My LO was pulling himself up at 6 months  he still couldn't sit unaided though :rotfl: but yes when we moved to the cotbed I had to put it on the bottom setting from the get go.The frontier is never somewhere else.
