Has anyone got the britax first class car seat? Is it good? Easy to put baby in? DH says that he has been told isofix is better, but we don't even know if our car has isofix and I'm not sure it's really better or just an option. She hates the current infant car seat, but she's 5 1/2 months old, so I need one of those 0-1 car seats. I wanted rear facing for as long as possible too.
You can find out if your car has isofix by googling the model and year with 'isofix'.
What do you mean she 'hates the current seat'? At 5 1/2 months I'd be looking to keep her in the rear facing infant carrier for at least another four or five months.
In terms of whether isofix is 'better', it might be easier to fit but assurances are made by all car seat manufacturers that securing the seat using the seatbelt is just as safe."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
My lo loves being on her tummy, she sleeps on her side and the first thing she does is going on her tummy and grabbing a soft book I leave at the top. Every baby is different, she's as old as moneypenny 's, but no teeth here yet!
My lo is outgrowing her tippitoes bath but cannot sit unaided yet, although we have been putting her in the high chair this week. I don't know what to get next, I'm considering a bath insert for sitting, or one of those inflatable baths. I enjoy now having a bath with her but in different water, as her bath is inside my bath, so I'd like to continue to do so, but the insert would mean she'd be with me. I don't mind bathing myself with oilatum lol, but has anyone tried this? What are you using? I want to take advantage of the boots offers, which is 10 points per pound today, plus the discount of £15, then pay with points

We have the Britax First Class, he's still rear facing at 16 months and I can see him still being rear facing at 24m the way he is growing. He much prefers it to his infant carrier as he can see out the back window and the side because it's much higher up. Would highly recommend it! Also the weight limit is v important for forward facing, so don't turn before the weight limit is reached or exceeded but ultimately keeping them rear facing for as long as the specific seat allows is safest (depending on fit in car) xThe frontier is never somewhere else. Oh, yes, I want to keep her rear facing for as long as possible, the Britax First Class is rear facing until 13kg, then forward facing until 18kg (aprox 4 years). The current one came with a Petite Star pushchair and it's not too well padded and she's very constricted ten minutes without a fuss is quite good at the moment. I was hoping the Britax would be comfier and last also longer. Did you ended up buying that "monster" car seat? Do you think it would be a waste of money (me buying that)?Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Oh, thanks gillyx!!! For some weird reason your post didn't appear on my screen until after I reloaded. The "monster" comment was for fluff. Thanks for that, I'll order it now. It's at £99 at Boots, with the double points offer and all that. Imight do two orders, so I can get the travel high chair and the bath seat you posted in one, and the car seat in another... I'm hoping I can get the £15 off in each order, so the car seat ends up at £84, and I get points too on topQuit smoking *1st January 2010*

Yay!!! Bargain!!! I got the Britax First Class Plus car seat, plus two fitted sheets for the cot bed, Chicco Journey Table Seat (as a travel high chair) and the swivel bath. I divided the order and got a £15 discount in each, bought the car seat with points and paid £54 for the rest whilst earning £13 in points, so virtually a £228 shop (without discounts or offers) for £41. All delivered by Friday.
Thank you for the help!!!!
