:D I had not spent points in aaaages! Lol

Talking about tummy time, I'll leave for a day or so these links to some videos of my lo this evening (same day, different outfit), acting like a fish out of water, she cannot crawl but hey she can wriggle!! Lol [link removed]

Today she managed 20 seconds sat on her own without help :D ... before faceplanting the mat sideways lol

hello all :) Brief drop in. Baby has a cold (first one, at almost 6 months, so not bad going). He slept OK night before last but was struggling to breathe last night. Gave up eventually and now am downstairs with the laptop and he's asleep in the sling, poor thing.

Another tummy time hater here, 5 mins on a good day. You might want to try 'cheat' tummy time, put him on your tummy while you're sitting up or reclining slightly, I think being in the sling also helps as they are so nosy they stick their heads up and look around.

Oh, yes, I want to keep her rear facing for as long as possible, the Britax First Class is rear facing until 13kg, then forward facing until 18kg (aprox 4 years). The current one came with a Petite Star pushchair and it's not too well padded and she's very constricted ten minutes without a fuss is quite good at the moment. I was hoping the Britax would be comfier and last also longer. Did you ended up buying that "monster" car seat? Do you think it would be a waste of money (me buying that)?

I haven't bought another one yet. I think I'm going to go for the Britax Evolva 123. I've seen them in Mothercare for £85. In the OH's car he's in a Maxi Cosi Pearl because we already had the familyfix base. It's only a group 1 though so will need replacing again. Unless we just start swapping between cars whatever 123 one I get. Cross that bridge when we come to it I guess.

I think that's how mine got used to it, when she fell asleep in the sling I'd sit down and recline and when she woke up she had to put her head up to see me. The baby.gym helped a lot (thanks fluff!). She had a week at around 4 1/2 months when she had learned to roll but not to roll back and she complained as soon as she realized she was on her tummy, but now she spends the day on her tummy or bouncing!

Oh, no I hope little one gets better and you can get some rest too. We have not had any cold yet (fingers crossed),

That's a very good price for the evolva. I thought about waiting until the 9 months mark and getting that one instead, but we have a bit of travel next.month.to visit family and at the end of the day I paid with advantage points, I can afford buying the next one in a few years time. I also thought that if we have another baby now, s/he could go in the britax first class from birth, and I could buy the evolva for V, who would be at least over a year. :D

Savage - first cold here too :( so bad we let her sleep in the car seat for two nights but she went back in the cot last night. Get well soon mini savage!

Gilly - I looked at cribs and really wished I'd bought one from the start, little one hated the stillness of the Moses basket so a rocking crib would have been perfect and lasted longer than 11weeks! She is starting to pull up a bit already so like you say may be an option but an expensive option! :/

She literally just hates the cot, she is always comfy on our bed just wish it was safe to prop her up on a cushion in her cot but I guess ill just have to try a cot wedge first!

Hope all the babies are well!

Yup we've got the Britax First Class too, he's been in it since about 7 months. Still rear facing at the moment. Out of interest does anyone know if you can take the cover off to wwash it? George didn't appreciate the windy lanes of Devon last week and chucked up in grand style all over it. Got the worst off with a sponge but would be good to bung it in the washer if its possible.

    Well done marta :D

I've got a girl version of the 'monster' car seat (if you mean the cosatto moova, a purple one in a pattern called hello dolly) and its great for lo at the moment, though I'm not sure we'll get her all the way to 4 in it, not the way she's shot up :o mind you squeak has a Britax one (elena is all I can remember about the name) and OH just refused to rearward face it even when he went to Cornwall so I may as well just have got a normal one.

I've been woken up to grumpy babies this morning, yay. Not. And it's raining on top of that. Got to go to the library later and get a few bits and bobs. My older 3 are off out so will just be the 3 of us going out.

Daddy was working late last night so had a bit of a problem getting little monster to bed as she kept getting disturbed, consequently she was still awake when he got home at ten, only to go to bed nicely as soon as shed seen him. I felt a bit miffed about that to be quite honest :o

Hope everyone has a more peaceful morning than we are :)

Hope it doesn't rain again today was so depressing yesterday!!

We are off to mamas and papas to pick up a book I've ordered and I'm going to buy lo a sleeping bag, he's started kicking up his blanket every night and I'm worried hell kick it over his face if he's not careful.

After sleeping through all last week were back to 5am feeds last couple of nights! I knew it wasn't going to happen forever!

Ringing the hv today and requesting she visits, lo is still constipated, had hard poos for 13 days now. See if she can help :)
