  • Hi ladies, hope you're all well!
I am absolutely shattered, to the point where keeping my eyes open is hard work and I have no idea why! Bubs is sleeping well, we're into our own lil routine and I really don't do anything strenuous at all - my oh is convinced I've been living on adrenaline the last 6 months and now everything is getting easier I've relaxed and the exhaustion has hit me, has anyone else experienced similar? It's frustrating the life out of me and I am snapping at my oh for no reason at all which isn't helping anyone :o

Have you had your iron levels checked?
  • Have you had your iron levels checked?

Have an appointment with the gp next Tuesday (first I could get sadly) so will ask if they can check my levels but with multi-vitamins and lots of iron rich food I'd be surprised although will be relieved just to know why tbh.

Not read back... well I got to page 136. Just popping on to inform you all that Dewi is off his meds! Coulda come off them after the last appointment...3months ago! According to the doc today anyway.

Oh and his noggin has jumped up a percentile. Massive head or a big smart brain? You decide!

    Hi ladies,
Long time lurker....my dd was born 7th may by section.
My question is to any other ladies having had a section did you stop bleeding for a few days then start again? I don't remember it been like this with my son but it's been heavy over the last couple days after nothing for about a week.....maybe I've just done too much.
    Thanks

I haven't had a c-section, but my discharge was heavy for a few days, light for a few, heavy again... Do pay attention to the clots and the colour. Any clot bigger than a 50p coin you need to show the midwife, just keep the pad in a nappy bag or something like that. The blood will be bright red for a bit but it should darken with the weeks, my pads went slightly green about 4-5 weeks after delivery with a very strong smell. It turned out I had an infection, so just had a few antibiotics, which cleared it, and then the bleeding stopped. Then my period came a week or so later, lol.

Hello and congratulations on your little lady! :) I had a section and experienced what you describe for at least four weeks - the bleeding would stop and start, and sometimes it would be heavy, at other times not. I do think it was linked to activity levels - it's your body's way of telling you to rest, rest, rest! Easier said than done though, I know :o

Hello! :) We're good thanks - looking forward to my parents arriving tonight. First visit in four years as my mum's terrified of flying! I'm off until Thursday now :D Currently on the train on my way from work to the nursery to pick up LO.

How are you guys - today's your day off, right?
