Count me in chaps.
Was on the first plane to touch down in Heathrow in 2009 (at 04.30am this morning) and threw away my remaining cigarettes in Hong Kong airport last night, so planning on going nicotine free.
Feeling uptight and stressed already, and I know it's nicotine telling my brain to light up.
I want to get fit this year, and smoking to me is more than lighting up. It is a mindset that inhibits the natural athlete within me.
Wish me luck.
Anything in particular I should read to help me??0 -

Well I made it through to the new year - and even managed to have one drink (not my usual so made it a lot easier) without thinking I have to put a cig in one hand and the glass in another.
:hello: Graeme - good luck - if i can do it after all my many many many failed attempts over the last 11 years (about one a year) then anyone can. Best wishes0 -
Happy New Year all!
As this thread has gradually grown to over 8000 posts I have started a new shiny thread for you all here: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1384985
Unfortunately long threads can affect the smooth running of the boards so having a bit of a tidy now it's a fresh start in the new year!
Let's hope you all have as much success in the new year as you have had so far!
