Hi all and very well done indeed Waspeze, the sooner you're able to give up the better surely. All the very best for whenever it is ...and I'll keep an eye out for the news from now on too! :j I hope the Nytol, works (is it ok to use with the champix?) and you can get some decent sleep, it certainly helps in every way if you're able to get a good night.

I checked with the pharmacist and she said they'd be fine so hoping there's no dodgy side effects  (other than the normal champix ones obviously)
    :hello:

Thanks so much for letting me know that Waspeze, I must admit I was a little concerned last night - not now though!:D

Well done Kate!!! Just try to get rid of "the inhaler thingy" ;) as soon as you can so you can rid yourself of ALL nicotine. At least it got you through a nasty stage as one thing's for sure - it's better than the evil sticks!!!

Keep that strength up Kate - you'll get there - we'll make sure of that!!! :p

Day 4 and still going strong! Had a smoker friend round yesterday and was absolutely fine until after she'd gone and I found she'd left the rest of her pack of fags in my handbag, thinking she was doing me a favour. I nearly caved in and had one, but told my husband who at my request took them away and hid them. That was a very very very very very close thing! Feeling very grumpy today. I think Shadydaz has given us all very good reasons to keep going.

Congratulations Mintoze!!! :T:T:T Naughty, naughty friend. That was a heck of a test and your will-power stood by you - and you with your (obviously) great inner strength didn't yeield to the "...oooh I could.....! You should be so very, very proud of yourself - I am! I honestly think I know what that must have been like for you, as not long after I'd given up a friend left a packet and her lighter on our water butt and gone indoors with the rest of the family. What I wouldn't have given for.....!!!! However, like you, I held back, picked them up and went on in out of temptations way. I did give them back to her, just in case you're left wondering!:D

Extremely well done indeed, and yes, keep following Daz, Lula, Feedumall, Honey Pie, MFD, aging biker and so very many others on here who've so successfully won the battle. Going on as you are now, you could too!!!

Thanks Sue. Got an even greater challenge over the next 10 days or so. My brother is coming to stay on Saturday and he's smoked for 50 years! It'll be a tough call, but actually he wants to give up too, so I'll have to give him some guidance!!!

I hope he's smoking outside Mintoze?????? What a time to smoke for, he needs your guiding light for sure...and who knows how you might influence him. All the best with setting that great example.
