    Hey Buttercup,

Well done, tht's great news for you both :D

    Hi Skintmum,

Welcome to the thread & good luck ! Re the weight gain, if you're not a 'picker' you should be ok. I was fine while I was still on the gum, but it was when I came off that the trouble started :o basically there were just too many easily munchable things like biscuits in the house.
As of midninght tonight it'll be 10 weeks :j for me & I've gained roughly a pound per week but now that I know I'm safe as in I have no desire or even
a slight occasional craving anymore I'm going to focus on trying to lose those pesky pounds - only one pair of jeans fits anymore :(

  • Hiya buttercup,

I used patches and inhalator. I had to rip my patch off after about 8 days because the itching and throbbing on where I'd put it was unbearable. I more or less went cold turkey after that, it worked for me (over 2 months quit now) but it depends on your willpower!

It could be you are allergic to the glue that the patch uses, do you put it on a different place each day (it could make a difference if you alternate between maybe using your leg then your shoulder?)

Have a word with your chemist and they may be able to suggest a different patch.

You're doing so well, you are past the worst stage (irritability etc) it's just the physical habit now.
