Wanna - keep going with it. Although we stopped on sameday, I did have those couple of smokes so you are ahead of me!! (That does not mean you can have smoke to catch me up though!!)
Reading the messages, it appears that we have another 2 weeks to go until it gets easier. I have already lost the craving to smoke at work or at home. I just struggle on a Saturday night!!

Thanks, that does help thats bad that the thought of smoking popped into my head when you said that you did have a couple! I did think thats ok I can then! not going to though think that will be my downfall, think I have a very addictive thing going on, same with chocolate and shopping! Am getting better slowly about them all.

Work isn't normally an issue, just today it has been mind numbling dull, home is ok. I would agree that the out thing is a prob though....

2 weeks to go, oh that might be bad same time as my week off work, and my very short holiday to watch the GP at silverstone:T, seem to remember that it was difficult to buy cigs there last time I went mmmm spent ages wandering waiting to find a marlboro stall, guess thats not allowed anymore though since they stopped the advertising????

    Mindless ramble over.

Ps well done Naomin and everyone else:T

Mindless ramble or not wanna, if it helps get it out of your system then ramble away and get shot of it! You're doing so well with quitting - keep on plodding away and you'll get there. I think it's great that Lewki and you are, in a sense, there for and with each other - aside from his little deviation. It's getting back on and moving on that counts though eh Lewki! Well done both.

A very HAPPY BIRTHDAY feedumall, I hope the day is a great one - even if the weather ain't!! Have a super evening too. :j

Never mind Naomi, get back in the circle and try to STAY in it! Well done so far today as 17hours 35 mins smoke free is just great, so wayhay indeed!! Whenever you're tempted come on here or have a glass of water, better still go for a walk .......or something equally energizing!!! Your choice there! :rotfl:;)

Congratulations HoneyPie!!! :T 1 month is a long time, but you made it and are part way to a year, a little part, but it'll soon pass and look how healthy you're becoming already!

Lewki you will be strong! Think of how good you feel having got this far, then think about how bad you would feel if you slipped up, you don't really want to smoke anyway, that's just your mind playing tricks on you, you have to convince yourself that you're a non-smoker!

Well done sunnyteacake, 3 weeks is a fantastic achievement, as I've said before, use the time that you've not been smoking to help build up your confidence, you've done the difficult part, now it's the habitual things that have to be worked on. You've got no nicotine in your body and you have proved to yourself that you don't need it so just work on the habit side now-don't let your brain try and fool you though!

    Hi Everyone

I'm one week in and amazed myself by not cheating - although the urge does strike!!!

The gum has been helping and as drinking juice as Sue UU suggested (actually my new addiction may be a multivitamin juice that Lidl sell and huge slug seems to stop a craving - but its probably a placebo effect - I look at all the vitamins on the side of the carton and tell myself "wow I'm being soooo healthy now")

On the bad side, is it just me or are other people a real hinderance ?!!!! There's the patronising never-smokers and the smokers who want you to fail (because they are jealous!!!)

On the plus side the fact I have not let them upset me enough to smoke means I should be able to persevere until the worse of the cravings are over.

Keep it going everyone - I know its been said before, but I never thought I could go this long without a cigarette so if I can you can ....x
