Morning all. YAY welcome back Naomim!!!!!!!!!!!
Great news you are back now and not in 6 months time :)
I have had a couple of glitches along the way, nothing serious and I have not bought any smokes. However, it was needles, they tasted horrid and I am determined to break this horrible habit. I even thought I could drop the patches alltogether - mistake lol

Good shout AB - younger than you but I have the same mentality - I have a young family and I would like to keep going for as long as possible :)

I hope everyone else is having a nice smoke free day today, all the fresh non-smokers should be really over the moon at how well you're doing, the first few days/weeks are well known as the toughest so perservere and you'll come through the other side fresh smelling non-smokers!

I hope the confidence is high among the more experienced non-smokers.

    Hello all,

I've been rather naughty recently so have been avoiding you all, sorry :o .

Feedie - :A A very Happy Birthday to you :D :j  hope you have a wonderful day. Age is just a number, & anyway I think you're one of those lovely people who will always remain youthful because you have a sunny personality & a great outlook on life full of warmth & humour, so there :p

I'm currently being seduced by 3 evil ones a day  but have a new plan in mind that I will implement shortly, so will update when I'm back in control

Well done all you who are winning the battle & keep trying to those who are struggling ;) .

    Happy b'day Feedumall :)
Suddenly the thread has sprung back to life - it is amazing how much better I feel when everyone is discussing the dreaded weed :)
Lula, whats your plan? Sounds exciting!
PS - I am 1 year older than Naomim
PPS - no mad dreams last night, but could not sleep! Was it a full moon...I am not joking when I say that I struggle sleeping on a full moon and apparently that is quite common!! My FIL who is a GP says that there are loads of weird things that happen...its always a busy night :)

Hmm, glad to hear I'm not the only one affected by lunar activity Lewki, I can never sleep either but always in a good way. I just feel wide awake & mentally alert ( well, once a month is better than never eh  )

Re the plan : I just cant get my head around never smoking again because for me the overwhelming factor is pure naughtiness  . I like being a bit of a rebel & doing stuff I know I shouldnt, I've stopped silly credit card spending, I'm keeping up to date with all bills & reducing the debts albeit slowly, I've dumped the toyboy :o, I'm sorting out the home & garden & I rarely drink or go out socialising so I think that my halo is just a bit too shiny & I need to do something naughty or I just wont be me anymore :p . So, this week I'm having 3 a day, then next week I'm going to have 3 one day & 2 the next, the following week it'll be 2 each day, the next week 2 one day, & 1 the next, then 1 a day the following week, then the next week I'll have 1 every other day & hopefully by this time I'll feel really really stupid & ask myself why I'm bothering to smoke at all  . That probably sounds a bit of a bonkers plan, but then I'm a bit of a bonkers girl :D
  • I'll go along with that lula

    Happy Birthday Feedumall ;-)

I just popped on to see how everyone is doing... so I am pleased I caught yout birthday!! Have a great Day!!

Hi everyone else - Oldtimers, and New'uns'

I have been smoke free 1 month now... still find it tough at times... and still haven't reached the point where i 'hate' smoking... don't think I ever will now!.

    Lula-Hula - lucky you smoking 3 cigs a day ;-0 !!!

I am going to catch up, I have missed loads...
  • OMG that nearly finished me off, really wanted to smoke don't know why just one of those feelings thought I was doing alright 2 weeks 2 days, then I couldn't use my password, then the new one didn't work was on the verge of leaving and running outside with someone elses cigs.

Then I took a deep breath had a rummage round my bag found some gum, now the password works and I don't feel as bad. What a silly thing to get all stressed about:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Wanna - keep going with it. Although we stopped on sameday, I did have those couple of smokes so you are ahead of me!! (That does not mean you can have smoke to catch me up though!!)
Reading the messages, it appears that we have another 2 weeks to go until it gets easier. I have already lost the craving to smoke at work or at home. I just struggle on a Saturday night!!
