Lewki,
I did it been to the shop bought milk and butter, no cigs though. Congratualtions on the lunch time thing. Now its the 3.30 count down, it is raining though so hopefully it won't be that difficult...0 -
Starting tomorrow, I'm in with you guys.
Should have been today but was too weak. Started giving up in January and did really well on the patches so now am ready again and this time I am going to put away the money as I didn't last time and not too sure where it all went.
Good luck everyone!!PROUD TO BE DEALING WITH MY DEBTSSealed Pot Challenge #247 £400DFW Nerd Club #9560 -
Its not raining here
just gave my patch a good seeing too and feel better. are you using anything Wannabe or are you going cold turkey? 0 -
Hi Sarellie - great thats loads of us starting at the same time!! I was supposed to stop yesterday, the first of the month, but I found excuses (yes weak here too lol)
So instead started today - patched up and getting on with it. I have posted loads on here today, everytime I want to smoke I post
I gave up using patches last year and did well but then slipped back into 20 a day. If you have done it once you can do it again so best of luck and look forward to reading your progress0 -
I've been sitting here reading through the posts from the start (yes I am busy at work!
) and it's made me want a cig more than ever! Or it's because I've just eaten my lunch
lol. I am now rubbing the patch like mad but just getting a tingly arm!
If anyone is interested Allen Carr's easyway has clinics all over the country and you can pay for it by Tesco clubcard vouchers. I did go to the main session and two back-up sessions but they didn't quite hit the spot. But if it doesn't work you can claim the money back so my Tesco clubcard is no worse off than it was.
I've tried lots of ways to give up. I stopped when I was pregnant but even that took me 3 months to do and I started again when my DS was 6 months and I came back to work . Getting pregnant again is a bit drastic so I'm going to stick with my patches.

Even the smileys have given up smoking - I have decided that this is group patch rubbing, not a group hug ?:grouphug:0

A great piece of advice there LEWKI, it'll keep your mind off the craving and keep your hands busy, perfect for breaking dirty, dirty habits
Good to see so many new names posting here.
*sniff* *sniff* can anybody else smell that *sniff* *sniff*
That's the sweet smell of success that you'll notice more often as one of the benefits of not smoking! (what a cheesy so and so lol)
Hopefully your day will fly in, no matter what stage of stopping you are at, I think it's unfair that we should have to spend one fifth of our working week on Mondays
