So ... needed milk, and nothing else.. So ... had enough change to buy milk, and nothing else.. So ... don't need my bank card, do I?. So ... why did I take it? So ... buy the milk, and nothing else. So ...walk past ATM. So ... 25 yards further on - take bank card out and start to walk back to ATM. So ...stop, get angry and swear at myself (not out loud) ...

So ... turn round again, and walk away, with milk ... and nothing else.:j

Definitely ... a case of so far so good.

    Well done MF :T :T :T

and don't get annoyed with yourself. The actual smoking of a cigarette is just one of the habits of a smoker. You will find yourself doing lots of things and thinking why? only to realise that that is what you did when you smoked. Do NOT get annoyed about it, just laugh it off. The habits will change, one by one......

Hi TNG .... first I just want to thank you (and all the others) for your help to all of us on this thread.

The humour is there don't worry, (a bit on the dark side at the moment perhaps, lol) but for me this is a series of battles between the guy who does not want to smoke, does not need to smoke etc and the guy I have been since age 13 who coughed and spluttered his way into a habit, and the huge amount of money he has since completely wasted - literally up in smoke.

Today, that battle was literally street to street fighting, lol - but, hey, I know who won!

I am sat in the office rubbing my patch!! God I feel stupid!! (that is a nicotine patch, nothing to do with hairline!!lol)
  • Next hurdle over and done with the 11 oclock smoke break, well Im still sitting at my desk and havent been to Mr T's express to purchase any death sticks. Lunch time to go!! Its not till now that I have realised how easy it is to take 10 squid out of the ATM buy cigs, and then spend the rest on rubbish, hopefully I will be NSD nearly everyday apart from milk, maybe some butter today. How am I going to do that go to the shop and see all the shiny packets behind the till?

I'm with you wannabemss!! 11.00 over and done with, no need to withdraw the £10 squid, I have brought my lunch so no need to go to the shop. OK so plan needed regards the shiny packets. I think you will get such a feeling of pride by walking away. You will then feel sorry for the person in front of you who hands over their money and only gets a few coins back from that tenner :)
Keep going we can do this!!

Thanks for that Im sure it will be fine I just need to be positive before I go into the shop, have my lunch so no need to buy that. Just thought I could go to Netto instead of Mr T, they dont sell cigs in there! It will be great to be able to watch other people spending their tenners like water knowing that we don't have to.

Just been for a walk around the block. I was not even tempted to the ciggie counter, even though a friend went in and bought sandwiches. That is the first morning out of the way, now for this afternoon. My plan is to go for another walk at around 3.30 :)
