    Hi all
Yesterday was supposed to be the day but smoked in the afternoon. So patches on this morning but actually had last smoke yesterday at 6pm.
First battle over and done with. I drove past 2 garages and been at work for an hour, thought it time to log on and say hello.
My 8 yr old daughter is very cross that I smoked yesterday and my 2 younger boys jumped on her bandwagon. My wife just raises her eyebrows at me!! (quite scarey).
Anyway I'm on board, £6.00 saved, and probaly some general ranting on this board from me during the day!!

Like he says, it may take a little while. For me, I still had to make the conscious decision to stop, rather than "just not wanting to smoke", but it really was a breeze and I haven't craved since.

pm me if you want to

    Thanks for that!

Yes I'm sort of thinking and wondering how long this process lasts....think probably will use it for a couple more days, and then make a decision to just stop.... otherwise can see myself still doing the process and still smoking in 10 years!:o
Which sort of defeats the object.

Dont know whether its just my imagination though, but although am still lighting up (not as much) the cigs have sort of lost all appeal:rolleyes: or am I brainwashing myself:rotfl:

Cheers though TNG, may be pm-ing you sooner than you think!;)

    Hi All,

I wanna join your gang! :D

Today is the first day of my no-smoking life. I smoke on average 15-20 a day and spend £4.80 a day, that's £1770.25 a year and 6.5 of my working weeks

I'm doing it with patches to start with just to ease me into it ;)

All my savings about 28 squid a week will be going in to the bottomless pit called my overdraft, with the hope that it will soon stop being a bottomless red pit and become a nice place! laughing-smiley-014.gif

So ... needed milk, and nothing else.. So ... had enough change to buy milk, and nothing else.. So ... don't need my bank card, do I?. So ... why did I take it? So ... buy the milk, and nothing else. So ...walk past ATM. So ... 25 yards further on - take bank card out and start to walk back to ATM. So ...stop, get angry and swear at myself (not out loud) ... but I have to say next time I see someone in the street walking back and forward and talking to themselves - I will be far less judgemental that I ever was before.

So ... turn round again, and walk away, with milk ... and nothing else.:j

Definitely ... a case of so far so good.

they can change the face of the world.
