    Hi everyone,

PuzzyB - I'm so glad you're feeling better now, those bleak days just happen & that's when I had my last blip in spite of everything i just wanted to have a cig, well done to you for not giving in when you were low :D . I felt just as ridiculous in the rain & firday when I went to the bank I was struck how there were these little huddles of smokers outside various buildings, shop /& offices & felt quite sorry for them & how silly they all looked :p .

Feedumall - sounds like you've been having loads of fun & I love the sound of your GDD's recipe but think I can actually hear my hips expanding in anticipation as i read it :rotfl:

Jfox - I'm really proud of you, that was a huge test & you got through it fine. Good to hear how supportive your mates are too, it really helps

Well done to everyone, enjoy the extra sunday tomorrow & good luck for another smoke free day :D

    Morning Everyone,

I haven't really had anything positive to say about 'giving up smoking' so have tried to stay away from writing a 'pro smoking' post.. :o

I am on Day 6 today, and will be pleased tommorrow - my week anniversary - when 'hell week' is supposed to be over!.

I wish I could say I felt better for not smoking... as yet I don't ... I think I am so wrapped up in the negative thought process i.e that I am depriving myself of something good, and how much I miss my evil friend, that I can't see the positives... I am even losing sight of why I wanted to give up in the 1st place.. I know its my mind playing tricks on me.. But I just wish the 'debates' in my own head would stop... 'should I have one', 'No, you shouldn't!'... :rotfl: :rotfl:. Yesterday afternoon I felt so angry, and so not myself, that I vowed if I still felt like that by the night time - I would have a ciggy... . The feeling passed - not sure if I actually stopped myself having one, or whether I did feel better than I had done in the afternoon.. Either way - I was quite close to giving in  .

Everyone is still doing really well on here... much better than me (I knew that would be the case!), - well done everyone - I love your positive stance on being a 'non smoker' too... Your inspiring :T :T :T

Honeypie, you are not alone, if you look back a couple of pages i hit the same point as you, i did ok for the first 2 weeks and thought (stupid me) that i was ok and that this time it would be easy.

That bit me in the [STRIKE]bum[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]behind[/STRIKE] back side when i hit week three and i went on a proper downer (there is my nice long list of why i want to smoke a couple of pages back.)

But i came on here and vented and EVERYONE was lovely and really helped me get through it, (OH had a me in a grump for a good few days thou)

Well done on reaching day 6 and keep going, if you slip dont panic, just remember why you want to quit, it might be a good idea to write down all of your reasons for quitting and putting them in your purse for any weak moments?

    Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks Puzzledbubbles!. I actually read your list a few days back, and agreed with EVERYTHING you said... I ENJOY smoking too hahaha :rotfl:, and I know its my brain being evil to me... but thats the way I feel right now.. BUT I am pretty determined not to give in, as I know it will just make the next 'quit' all the harder.. and I would have to do these 6 days all over again  . I think I will write that list - I will wait til my mood is a bit more positive tho - then the list will be longer :o ..

A very BIG well done to you for being stopped for 3 weeks!. :T :T .

Wouldn't it be great tho if someone said 'by the time you get to week X, you will no longer want a cigarette'!.. At least then we would have a target date, and light at the end of the dark dark tunnel..

    Thanks again Puzzle!

    xx
