hi jo, well done and iv come to join u! i smoke too and smoked my last cigarette last night b4 bed. cant afford it, stupid 4 doin it and think of all that extra cash to pay off my bebts. nice to be able to have moral support on here.good luck, xx

Lot's of new people on here now which is great ... brilliant to see so many people at different stages of giving up :beer:


I decided to stop taking champix on wednesday




Just figured i'd see what happened and so far so good, everything seems to be ok.. though my mouth does feel a bit like this but think thats more to do with a hangover than anything else


Anyway just wanted to pop in to say hi and keep at it everyone ... have a lovely smokefree bank holiday weekend :wave:

Hello & welcome to waddy :hello: you've just joined the best thread around, I can honestly say that these fab guys are keeping me on the straight, just the thought of having to confess to another blip when everyone else is going through the same agonies & coping with it is a huge motivator. What we're doing is really hard sometimes & just knowing that others are suffering too makes you feel less alone.

ZTD - if you're still talking about smoking then i now understand why it works. Reading that someone else is struggling makes me determined to get them through a bad moment & keep them positive which in turn makes me feel better, guess its the same for everyone.

Greenby - well done, it is a long & perilous journey we have undertaken full of temptations & booby traps but if we all stick close together we will succeed.

Richard - you're a bit quiet... you doing ok ?

Honeypie - you're on day 3 now, well done

Foxy - you're hiding arent you ? Please dont worry about your night out, the boys are going to be envious of you, but being boys they will probably try to make fun of you / make you give in, DONT give them the satisfaction & when you get home think how pleased your o/h & hamster will be when you still smell all nice & fresh

Puzzled - feeling any better today ? I hope so, keep posting, it helps just to let out what you're feeling.

Jellie - fancy not even remembering your weekiversary, how :cool: are you !
Keep vigilant, nicotine has a nasty way of making you think you have it under control & that just 1 wont hurt...

I really want a cigarette, I really want a cigarette, I really want a cigarette......... :wall: . I think I best give the 1mg tablet a try again :rolleyes:. Day 3 today - and have thought of nothing else!.

Everyone seems to be doing well, and looking at the positive side of not smoking... well done :T. I can't help but feel like I am depriving myself of something good, and missing out on something!!..

I know just how you're feeling honeypie, i so want one RIGHT NOW but, I know it's just my brain tricking me & telling me I'm missing something, anyone know where I can get a cheap lobotomy ? oh lula my dh knows it's him i love, mario is just a friend:D.have been playing tennis on the wii with grandaughter and smacked my hand up the door :eek: ,the pain distracted me:o ,that is the only reason she well and truly thrashed me:o .honey p eat something sour,or a ice lolly ,takes the craving away,dont know why but worked for me.hi waspeze glad all is well.

Hi Lula,

Yep, still going great thanks. I've been really busy at work, and then busy in the evenings, but definitely getting easier.

I'm on Day 18 now, and I realised last night that all I've spent during that time is £1.90 when I forgot to take a drink to work on a couple of occasions, and had to buy one.
