Well done Suki and everyone else, you're all doing a fantastic job and it's so nice to see so many new faces popping along and helping each other out and being so supportive, knowing that so many people are stopping with you is a massive help and an added incentive always helps!

Last night was eight weeks for myself, two months according to my quitmeter is on Friday night

I haven't taken any Champix in over two weeks and I can honestly say it's going very well, I've had a few cravings but nothing nasty, was at a Bruce Springsteen gig on Sunday and was stood behind a smoker for a while and the smoke wafted towards me, it didn't sicken me nor did it make me want to smoke which was a breakthrough of sorts, I think!

Keep up the good work everyone, let's make this another smoke free day :j

    Hello everyone,

Congratulations to everyone reaching a significant milestone  , Richard - I think you've cracked, I knew those gangrenous toes would work !!

Little Pickle - you may be a Jedi Dumb Orse ;) but you are also a fab non smoker & maybe we'll all get some brain cells back when completely free - I could certainly do with them, wondered why no one had called for days then discovered I'd turned ringer off on the phone :o .

Will check in again later, thanks to all supporters, & fellow travellers

We will do it, we will, we will, we will :D

    hey guys,

    well 2 weeks, 3 days :)
I have been taking everything out on my poor OH the whole weekend....i kinda feel bad. I have tried so hard not to blame the cigarettes but i am just not like this normally.
Hopefully it was just a weak moment as my whole weekend was spent around smokers!

Hows everyone else getting on? This is the first time i've thought about smoking today and its 1:15 pm :)

This made me laugh SO much! I've been really daft since I gave up too!
    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

(mind you, I did have to be at the office at 7am this morning which may be another reason my brain wasn't working earlier!)

jfox - you know what? I bet your OH knows you aren't normally like that and they know you're having a rough time.
Why not blame it on the ciggies? It's probably the reason behind it. And you shouldn't be ashamed to admit that!
You could just do what I did and say,

'Darling, I love you very much... but for the next little while, there will be times when it will seem like I don't... it's just the withdrawal process and I don't mean to be like it. But Please stick it out with me!'

Mr P knows that it's been hard.... he's been very supportive!
(after I told him to be ;) )

Feebumall - you know that fiver you advised me to burn ?? Can I smoke it instead?? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ... Please ???

I have been all over looking for Starburst Sour - noone has them!! Do you think its because of this thread ?? :D:D , but I am armed with a pack of starburst - and I have an army of people looking for starburst sour..

Thanks for the support again earlier today guys - esp Puzzled and Feedumall xx.

I guess thats another one over xxx

Not in the sense of OMIGOD I NEED A SMOKE! I just sometimes think that in certain situations I would have lit up before and sort of pat myself on the back for not lighting up. I've recently had to do a lot of travelling with my job and before it would have been a no-brainer- I would have bought a pack of smokes 'just while I'm away'. Didn't even consider it this time.
