    Honey- how are you tody?

    Hi Jfox, and everyone else,

I am doing ok. Just passed my week anniversary, and like you, feel a lot better than I did at the weekend. When I am at work - not smoking isn't such a big deal for me, but at home its more of a battle... All my family smoke too !

What day is everyone up too now??

Feedumall - so glad your not going anywhere - your support on this thread is amazing..

Keep up the good work everyone!

:T Well done for yesterday, it's great that you can have that reaction.

I think today's achievement is better though so congratulations. It's easy not smoking on the days when you think it's disgusting, it's infinitely more tough on the days when it's all that's on your mind. Many congratulations on resisting it, you should be very proud of yourself for doing so :T :T

    Hey everyone,

Congratulations on your weekiversary Honeypie :j  :j

Feedie - cleaning over Mario ? What's going on

JFox & Richard - Hmmm I want one, I want one, I want one

Richard - You know that couple smell like a pair of hobos just as much as I do. If you ever went into a betting shop in the days before the entire country became smoke free you know the smell I'm talking about- it's vile but dont you reckon they should be allowed to keep one in every town so that we trying to be ex smokers can pop in for a deep breath & then gag & go on our merry smoke free way ?

I'm still not enjoying my coffee as much as I used to & seriously considering buying 10 & smoking them over the next few days & then quitting again as of 1st June just so it's a date I'll remember. Anyone want to talk me out of it ?

You boy are so far ahead it would be scandalous to give in to the wily & cunning adversary now, what are you man or mouse ? :p

I'll be back later, gotta go chew some furniture or beat apillow to death

    Hi everyone,

I am another 20 a dayer. I have quit 3 times in the last 2 years. I am a new DFW, in fact I have calculated that my debt is pretty much identical to the amount I have spent on smokes over the past 10 years. How stupid is that!?

Last week a colleague and I agreed that quit day is June 1st. This is rapidly approaching and we have both been discussing this whilst standing under a tree in the rain outside (we must look so sad to everyone that can see us in the offices)

Savings for me will be £2184/annum, or £182/month.

Congrats to all of you that are on here, everyone is doing really well and look forward to joining in and quitting

    Hi lewkie & welcome :hello:

I think it's great that you are joining us & June 1st seems like a very good day to begin. Have you any plans in place as to how you're going to go into battle ? Apart from the army on here who are fab I recommend that you have a back up artillery of patches, gum, tabs etc & plans to keep busy & away from smokers for the first 2 or 3 weeks.

I wont deny that it is tough & no matter how hard I'm trying to retrain my brain sometimes it's just like an old dog who doesnt want to learn new tricks.

I can feel another blip coming on as I type so will leave you now ...

:naughty: Come now Lula, you don't want to have to start again, you know yourself it's the first few days which are the toughest, why would you want to go through that again! :naughty:

Get a piece of paper and write down the pros and cons of smoking, listing each and everyone of them, not only will it point you in the direction of the right course of action (not smoking of course) but by the time you finish your craving should've passed, if it hasn't come back here and I'll give you more homework to do ;)

Well done LEWKI, you've made the right choice, I was just thinking the first of the month normally brings in an influx of fresh non-smokers so you're very welcome along. What method will you be using? You'll get some great support here as well so hopefully you'll keep us up to date with your progress!
