Hello everyone,
hope you're all being good
.
Feedie, I'm so excited for you about the wii I just know you're going to love it. I think they can be connected to other people all over the world via the interschnasm but being a bit thick I have no idea how:o .
I found the hamster trying to chew her way through the bookcase, I think it's funny when she escapes but DD gets really upset so I have now padlocked her in.
Richard - have you located your missing thing yet ? I believe its bad breath, less money & the general fragrance of a long term hobo that's eluding you, you sure you want that back ?
lula
Good luck, stay strong!!! My hamster likes to escape too so don't take it personally. if you ever struggle to find them, just leave the cage open in the middle of the room

Hi everyone. we're all doing really well so far. and those who fall off the wagon, just jump straight back on again. I am approaching my stumbling block. LKast year I stopped smoking in february. I remained stopped for 6 months and started again on holiday in august. I remained a smoker until 1st december when I stopped again. I am coming up to 6 months again at beginning of June and am determined not to falter this time, but it crept up on me last time and I weakened and smoked... So I am having to double my efforts this year. OH is still smoking and whilst most of the time it doesn't bother me. There are times when it is tempting.
Keep going everyone, you should all be really proud.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Hi Lula,
Erm, funnily enough, I don't feel it quite as strongly now, so hopefully I'm starting to lose the feeling completely.:D
We're going to a mid week party this evening,:grouphug::beer: :grouphug:  and some of our friends are smokers, so that'll be a test of my resolve.
Just on Day 15 now and it's defintely becoming easier, but not easy.:D

Well done on day 15 Richard
Even now there are times when I could easily submit and spark one up but like you say, it does get easier though it never totally goes away
Just keep at it and the rewards of being smokefree far out weigh the temporary contentment from having one in your hand and mouth!:hello:Save a little money each month and at the end of the year you’ll be surprised at how little you have.An eye for an eye only ends up making the whole world blind0 -
Hi everyone
Another tough day at work so I think I'll go for a nap to recover and beat the cravings!!
Foxy- congrats on double figures. I found the hardest part of being out with smokers was getting the guts to say no first time and explain. Although I had to repeat myself after it was a lot easier! I limited myself to 1 drink which probably helped too!
Feedumall- you're going to be well fit...if you're not already
Lula- your posts make me giggle! Keep going with the mantra.....we need all the help we can get!!
Tatty- forewarned is forarmed....or summat like that! Hopefully the fact you're prepared this time will keep you on the straight and narrow.
Richard- keep strong tonight
Waspeze- I've just realised your sig is one I use elsewhere! Thanks for the good advice!
Love to all. Take care

Honeypie you take no notice, you will be a non smoker:j ,i am sure people who jear at others giving up are envious really:D .i never told anyone i was giving up ,it was great to see their faces:p .the thought of giving up seemed worse than the quitting , i still can't believe i have not smoked for nearly two months:D .0

Honeypie good luck you can do it, people said the same thing to me that i wouldnt be able to do it, ie my sister in law that smokes like a chimmney, i am sure she is now really jealous that i have managed to do it and stick at it.
I now take great pride in the fact i dont smoke and feel really smug. It gives your confidence a real boost.
I havent had any champix since yesterday decided to try going withouut it.
One week, two days, 23 hours, 1 minute and 45 seconds. 199 cigarettes not smoked, saving £24.90. Life saved: 16 hours, 35 minutes.0 -
Thanks feedumall - On past attempts I haven't told anyone but thought that this time I should tell as many people as possible to make it harder for me to relapse !!..

Thanks for the encouragement Naomi..;) How do you feel without the Champix.. ?0 -
Thought for the day .... I wonder if Jo knew how powerful her thread was going to be when she started it? I was in it almost from the beginning and pop in now and again like a liberated auntie! Stopping smoking real is about liberation and as I approach my 11 month anniversary I feel increasingly liberated!! Good luck and well done to all you quitters, hello to all the lurkers - dip your toe in you haven't got anything to loose - apart from .... furry tongue, smelly clothes, morning choking ... etc etc!! Hi again to all the vetrans.
We are the Smokers Liberation Army - we will liberate you!!
HAPPY SMOKE FREE DAYS!!
love and hugs
IDA
