Well done everyone on another weekend negotiated, if you've slipped don't beat yourself up, we're all aware of how hard it is to stop smoking and we're the people who won't judge you because we know the possible pitfalls.

If you haven't slipped very well done, use the confidence every smoke free day gives you to fight those cravings.

So, Little Pickle, you going to give us a wee tune to lighten up our Monday morning? Anybody else got any hidden talents, apart of course from the ability to stop smoking :D

    Good Afternoon Everyone ;)

How is everyone today?. What amoke free day is everyone upto now?

Well I should be on the stronger dose of Champix now, but took one 1mg pill and felt even more sick than usual... for alot longer too. So I am halving the pills and taking only 1mg over the course of the day. I have had my quit day set as Wednesday, which is Champix day 12!. I am already fretting about it... not sure why, guess I am just frightened of failing again, and if champix doesn't help - what now?? Back to the Cold Turkey days? I must banish these negative thoughts :(... I am not sleeping properly at all either - I am in a 'waking dream' state most of the night - my mind working overtime... - this doesn't help my current thought process!.

Anyway - on a more positive note everyone seems to be doing really well, and no slip ups at the weekend :T :T :T. Its fantasic to read, and encouraging..

Am I the only smoker (soon to be none smoker) on this thread???

Good Luck today everyone... Keep it up :grin:

Come now HoneyPie, we'll have none of those negative thoughts! Smoking is just a crutch that we try turn to for help in our weaker moments, but deep down we know they don't help, so give 'em the elbow!

It's understandable to be nervous, but in a few weeks time you'll look back on your stop date and wonder what the fuss was about, it's what I did and I'm sure it's what many others did as well, but with every passing day the confidence rises and will help you deflect the cravings.

I think this champix drug is really starting to affect me now, past few days i have been really tired i can sleep almost all day if i wanted to, saturday night i fell asleep at 5.30pm my partner woke me up at 10pm to ask if i wanted any food from the takeaway, 15 minutes later i was back asleep again till 7.30 am and i am just sleeping for abnormally long times. went to bed last night at 10 got up at 7.30 today but by 10 i am tired again and asleep on the settee just woke up now, i think i am going to have to cut the tablets down to half in the morning and half in the evening. Also i cant concentrate someone just called me i missed a appointment today at 11, it had completely slipped my mind, but i only made the appointment the other day.

One week, one day, 16 hours, 30 minutes and 28 seconds. 173 cigarettes not smoked, saving £21.72. Life saved: 14 hours, 25 minutes.
