Lula- I think this thread was probably made for whiny posts!! I think you put down whatever you need to to get you through. Hope you have a good day.
PD- weekends are tough, especially if you're avoiding having fun so you don't get tempted. Thinking of having to do coursework would make my cravings triple I'm sure!! Last week I decided to sleep as much as I could!!

Just got back from doctors and she has given me a 3 month supply of champix 1 mg. 2 tablets a day for a month, then 1 tablet a day for 2 months. But she said obviously if you feel you dont need the whole dose i can just take one tablet or a half, just as long as i dont exceed the stated dose its fine. So just got to wean myself off the tablets now, Has anyone struggled with this, who has given up on champix, i had cravings this morning because i hadnt took my tablet.

    Good day to all,

You're a bunch of big sweeties ; feeling a special lot of love for feedumall right now - flattery works every time with me ;) . Sadly not as young as you probably think, just a bit bonkers & generally a happy bunny who's grateful anyone actually reads my posts, let alone replies to them :D .

Doing chores today to keep busy & planning to go to allotment tomorrow but must stock up on gums first; I think my blip occurred partly due to not having cravings for a couple of days so didnt take gum & my 'nicometer' was too low to cope when craving did hit.

This nicotine is a devious & cunning foe but I'm a fast learner & wiser now so "wont get fooled again ".

Keep it up guys, I'll be checking in again later to see how everyone's coping,

We can do it, we can, we can, we can :D

    Hi everyone.

Well, I've had an incredibly bad week after congratulating myself on my 2 week mark last Monday.

Firstly, I had some vision problems that started in week 3 of the Champix and progressed to a permanent twitch in one eye! So last Monday the counsellor advised cutting down to 1mg per day.

Then on Tuesday eve I had some really sad news about my Dad...he's not going to be with us much longer. My world crashed. I went out for a walk with my littlen for some fresh air, we ended up at the shop for sweets for him and I brought cigs. They still taste disgusting, I don't get a hit from them, but its a comfort right now, typical old friend I can rely on (as I did at time of divorce!). 20 has lasted the week, so nothing like the 20 a day I was on, but it is slowly growing.

I'm in limbo at the moment, I need to decide to either come off Champix for a while or get on top of it and stop. Probably the latter and probably Monday when I can busy myself with work.

It's really good to read how everyone is doing...I will take strength from you guys and gals and it's a real pick-me-up to read to see how far people have come. Thank you!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I just wanted to say I am so sorry to hear about your Dad... :(:(:(.

Try not to worry too much about your smoking... just deal with one thing at a time, and do what you think is managable for you.

    Hi everyone,

Ali - so sorry to hear your sad news, my heart goes out to you & as HoneyPie said, take one step at a time (((hugs))).

Feedumall - sorry you're having a bad day, but great news about the wii - they're really good fun & will definitely occupy your time. Taking a daily fitness test will spur you on too. I shall tell no one about your daughter being 30, especially as I'm going to be 37 on my next birthday (again ;) ).

I went to get some more gum & I would advise anyone to avoid getting it from Tesco - the price is fine but the box is packed into some kind of plastic nuclear bomb proof packaging that took me over an hour, a trip to the garden shed & a hacksaw to get into  .
They also have one of those security pins on it that have to be removed by a professional at the till. All that for something that cost a fiver  . This plastic packaging was unreal, completely impenetrable without tools. Usually I hand over anything childproof to my 8 year old, who is scarily adept, but this even had her flummoxed. I finally got in & it occured to me that it would be far more sensible to have that kind of packaging on cigs, teenagers would never start smoking - they dont have the patience, women would break too many nails & go shopping instead & men would just say 'sod that, I'm off to the pub for a pint' :D.

I have now completed 24 hours after my 2nd blip so thanks to all for support & dragging me back on to the wagon ;) .

    Keep up the good work
