    Well done everyone.

I have got a bit of a sore throat today, and thought i would have seen some other side effects of not smoking by now, like coughing etc. Does that actually happen? what should i expect over the next few weeks, does anyone know?

Might go for a run tonight as have put on a few pounds since starting on tis champix although my appetitie has died off a bit. I am drinking loads of tea though i thought tea would never be the same again without a ciggie. I have noticed my skin looks a little pinker and not grey looking and washed out. Has anybody else noticed any pleasant effects of not smoking.

hi naomi i havn't had a cough but didn't when i smoked:confused: .food tastes better that could be a problem:D ,skin seems better, bank balance healthier ,all good really :T .allergic to tea:eek: ,but my coffee consumption hasn't gone up ,it couldn't i would have to drink non stop:o .Not ruled by the need to get ciggys ,have enough for the weekend ,etc freedom:T :T from the clutches of el nicotina:D .
  • ab :rotfl: I had forgotten all about finding those cigarettes - how wierd was that - all those times when I would have been delighted to find a pack of ciggies (it was nearly full) just lying in a car park and when do I find them - when the demons were eating at me

If I had stuck it out first time then I would be up there at 3 months with you :o ah well, we live and learn :D

pickle - I did a lot of the teary stuff, and the angry stuff, and the depressed stuff - all in all I was a nightmare, nowadays the only time I really think about smoking is the positive reinforcement I get from here!

Naomi - I didn't cough much, a few lickle icky bits but not much. The BEST side effect for me is that I don't smell :T

ab - your prayers must have worked for me :A
