    Congratulations AB and MFD :D:D

Lula, it's been posted before but don't think of this as failure.. its just a hiccup.. we're all allowed them, the key is not to use this as an excuse to start smoking again :)

  • lula - I did exactly the same as you on my first quit on this thread, going great guns, fell off the wagon completely for about 3 weeks and got myself ready to properly quit and battle through all the carp that goes with giving up.

They do as much damage to your head (in terms of you relying on them for 'support') as they do to your body IMHO.

You need to be ready and have the right head on to do it, if you can sort your head out then you can do it! There will always be people here to support you.

    .

I would say MORE damage to your head. Smoking is 99% a psychological addiction.......

    Morning Everyone...

Lula Hula and Jellie... Don't be ashamed because you had a fag!!... And certianly don't avoid the thread because of it.. I bet there's not one person on this thread who managed to quit on their first attempt.. I have lost count how many times I have tried... cold turkey, with patches, with an inhalator etc etc.... Now on Champix, and am yet to see if this time works...

I guess my point is, the main thing is that we keep on trying... even if we do fail - we tried, and we will try again... One of these attempts will be a success - right??..

We all know the stats about how addictive these fags are - when Drug or alcohol addicts deal with their addiction they can go into hospital and get support, and are kept firmly away from temptation... Us addicts are only a 'trip to a corner shop' away, and its very difficult!.

Very long post just to say - Don't beat yourselves up xxx

Good Luck Everyone with Fridays Battle ;)

    morning....

    guess what???

    I'm STILL smoke free!!!! :D

    Here are me latest stats:
15 days, 22 hours, 31 minutes and 52 seconds smoke free.

    159 cigarettes not smoked.
£48.00 and 1 day, 5 hours of your life saved.

WEll done to those still not smoking... and to those of you who are finding it really hard - I think I joined this thread 3 times before, but this has been the only time I've kept to the no smoking...

I'm feeling great, but have to admit that 2 nights ago I felt like crying.. really wanted a ciggie... but I didn't and that is the main thing I guess.

    Much love to all,
    LP
