I think this champix drug is really starting to affect me now, past few days i have been really tired i can sleep almost all day if i wanted to, saturday night i fell asleep at 5.30pm my partner woke me up at 10pm to ask if i wanted any food from the takeaway, 15 minutes later i was back asleep again till 7.30 am and i am just sleeping for abnormally long times. went to bed last night at 10 got up at 7.30 today but by 10 i am tired again and asleep on the settee just woke up now, i think i am going to have to cut the tablets down to half in the morning and half in the evening. Also i cant concentrate someone just called me i missed a appointment today at 11, it had completely slipped my mind, but i only made the appointment the other day.

One week, one day, 16 hours, 30 minutes and 28 seconds. 173 cigarettes not smoked, saving £21.72. Life saved: 14 hours, 25 minutes.

I know how you feel Naomi... I got in from work on Friday and slept for 2.5 hours.. was supposed to be a nap!. I never nap!. Then went to bed early for another 12 hours... woke on Saturday late - only to have another nap in the afternoon!!! - I have been blaming my 'bad nights sleeps' rather than the Champix tho.

You doing really well Naomi.. :D

Thanks for the support doltage.. You make perfect sense :o

    Afternoon all :)

I got into the "habit" of early nights and feeling tired all the time on champix, was always a "go to bed at midnight" bloke but was crashing out at 9pm and even earlier some nights.. totally unheard of for me :D

Not so bad now but still can quite easily go to bed early.. do take glucose tablets everyday though to give myself a bit of energy!

By restricting your brain of nicotine your denying it a stimulant its been used to for a long time!

Thanks for that waspeze never thought about that nicotine is a stimulant, prob a combination of the tablets and no fags. Not going to take my tablet tonight, have just forced myself up off the settee to clean the bathroom. Will see how i get on without it.

well done everyone keep it up.

Naomi234, I had convinced myself that I stopped smoking on 01st April but it was pointed out that I had my last smoke the night before so decided to use that as my stop date-every second counts!

As for everyone else being sleepy I can't say I've noticed that myself, but I am a lazy !!!!!! at the best of times :o

    Hi everyone!
    I feel sleepy now!!
Honey- I think the anticipation is sometimes worse than the event when you've planned to give up well in advance. You'll be fine- I'm guessing you've already cut down a bit from what you had before anyway. You've been determined enough to put up with feeling ill on the tablets so I'm sure you'll be fine! Just keep fighting every day.
Well done to all the quitters! I've found today tough- by the time I finished work I really wanted a ciggie but I've held out. Sometimes the cravings just seem to blind side you!
    Take care all :lovethoug

    Day 10, hour 4 minutes 10!

Can't believe i've reached double figures. I was so close to giving in today. For two hours at work i was figity and i must had been very annoying to everyone. I know that by reaching day 10 i have won, i just need to keep on top of the addictions.

Honey, keep going...its bound to be hard now as you are approaching the end. keep stong and focused and don't let those win. Remember people who don't smoke don't feel like this, and soon we will all be just how we were before we became smokers. None of use chose to become smokers, but we all chosing to give up so don't stop now!!!

I hope everyone has managed to stay away through reading this :)

    Hey everyone,

    Aren't we all brilliant :D .

Thanks for editing my mantra TNG, was going to ask if it was getting annoying but guess you've answered that for me  .

Honeypie - dont worry about wednesday, you're going to be fine & we'll all be here for you. Jellie fell off the wagon very briefly & I've done it twice & had a huge whinge & still they let me back ;) so you really are in the best possible company for support, understanding, advice & encouragement. I'm only on day 3 now, Jellie's on day 4 so we're right there with you.

I now have to go & hunt for the damn hamster who has escaped yet again, shouldnt be too hard to find, she has these curious fur spoilers each side that
gather up loads of sawdust which then gets deposited all round the carpet. I swear she only escapes on the days I hoover  .

We will do it, we will, we will, we will :D

    G'night everyone

    Hello everyone,

    hope you're all being good ;) .

Feedie, I'm so excited for you about the wii I just know you're going to love it. I think they can be connected to other people all over the world via the interschnasm but being a bit thick I have no idea how:o .

I found the hamster trying to chew her way through the bookcase, I think it's funny when she escapes but DD gets really upset so I have now padlocked her in.

Richard - have you located your missing thing yet ? I believe its bad breath, less money & the general fragrance of a long term hobo that's eluding you, you sure you want that back ? :D

friday night i am out with my friends, there will be four of us meeting after work in London for some drinks. There is this bar we go to where we sit outside, drink beer and smoke. This will be the first time i will going since i gave up. My friends are all smokers so im slightly nervous about this.
It will however be day 13 by then, so that should give me the strength and confidence to not step back.
