I've got a question for the longer term quitters out there :o , its a teeny bit embarrassing and ikky so if you are of a fragile disposition please don't read on ;)

Has anyone else found that they have more (ahem) bogies than before :o I have always been a bit of a nose-blower but now they are harder and :o:o:o:o ....I can't go on

Anyway - this has been going on for about the past 5 weeks or so (so from around 3 1/2 weeks after quitting) anyone else have the same

    "not complacent but confident"

What a superb mantra, consider it stolen *yoink* although if you allow me I'll share ;)

Superrug, for some reason this thread's going through a phase where champix is popular, before I stopped smoking I lurked and read through quite a lot of it and every method has got information about it, I'm afraid you may have to do some hunting for the information about Zyban.

I'm sure that allied with some strong will power and this thread Zyban will help you out.

Honeypie did you try taking your champix after food rather than with it? I found only once I took my tablet with an empty stomach and it did turn me a wee bit, nowadays I have my brekkie about 8.00 and my first tablet about 8.30 and haven't had a [strike]nauseous[/strike] [strike]naeusious[/strike] [strike]nawshis[/strike] stomach churning issue since (eeh, I adore the wee strike through text :D )

     MFD!!

I know what you mean, I've came across this [STRIKE]t[/STRIKE]issue before (see, I really do love my strikethrough text!) would it have anything to do with clearer lungs, which means nose hairs no longer catching so much garbage from your smoke, catching something else? I really have no idea, I just don't want you thinking you're on your own with that!

:p:p I've quoted you as well so that even if you do change/delete your post I'll have it here for all to see :p:p

If you delete or edit I'll follow suit ;)

I'm not a smoker myself but I started a thread on the gamucci electronic cigarette. It's not advertised as a smoking cessation device but it seems like a genuine alternative if anyone might find the info useful.

:hello: - Hi MFD. Hope you had a great time?

I thought that it was the lovely London air doing it to me, but yes, crusty bogies are indeed rife :o:o

I love the strikethru text... Its like one of my posts - excepts I end up rephrasing what I am trying to say to avoid the spelling errors!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yeah - I do take Champix with food... but find that on a morning I don't want to eat alot.. and when I take it with something 'little' the sickly feeling remains... for example - a weetabix doesnt help.. but a full english did!. I had to wait til lunch to take it today... not sure if I was allowed to do that tho!. I will try waiting half hour after food - instead of straight after... Thanks!

Hi everyone, not posted for a while, i have really wanted a ciggie today, been under enormous stress with nuisance neighbours that came crashing through my garden fence at 1 o clock this morning, i swear if there had been some ciggies in the house, i probably would have smoked one, effing neighbours they have been there 5 months and are constantly causing a nuisance. Housing association just keep saying bear with us we are working on it and if the meantime if you could supply us with witness statements just in case it goes to court. Just b l o o d y throw them out, but they cant, its so frustrating the police come round every time there is a disturbance but no-one gets arrested or anything, they just come and then go. Last week the neighbour was throwing glass beer bottles from his bedroom window onto the street, there was glass everywhere, police came and just made him sweep it up and off they went.

    Anyway here are my stats
Three days, 18 hours, 9 minutes and 36 seconds. 75 cigarettes not smoked, saving £9.39. Life saved: 6 hours, 15 minutes.

But if you HAD had one, the problem would not have gone away....... and you'd have felt even worse having smoked.

So a big WELL DONE to you for not smoking!!!!

    WAHOO
    5 DAYS 0 HOURS 10 MINUTES and 25 Seconds

So I have reached the end of day four and i want to say, it was no problem at all. I have eaten a lot again today but lost the cravings and slept a lot better last night.
Even though i am eating lots more, i plan to start exercising very soon (on the wii fit:)) so hopefully there shouldn't be any noticeable weight gain.

I hope everyone else has had a good day.
