Right i am off to get a nice hot bath then change into my nightie, have my last smoke, brush my teeth and then i am going to bed for a early night. So i can wake up in the morning feeling fresh as a daisy.

Night Night, hope them cravings do not bite.

    Welcome Jellie
Have you tried to stop before? Some people are able to stop cold turkey, others use NRT and some like myself use champix. What you choose has to be your decision as you know yourself best. Have a read through some of the posts and see if you can get and idea of what might help you

let us know how you get on

    Thanks Kirsty and Honey
I'm in a bit of an unusual situation since I was smoking to help with a medical condition. I have stopped without problems before since I only smoke a few a day but this time I've been smoking them for a couple of years and have tried a few times to stop unsuccesfully.

I've had a read through some of the thread (it's too long to read it all!!). Although I've seen Champix mentioned I don't know what it is! I know the first post had lots of helpful web sites etc so I'll try some of them out.

These are great Naomi, i have one that we got as a freebie at work - only problem is that me mate decided to seperate our two tanles to put them together to make one massive one, then we alternated the colours, then, um, they broke :o might ring a few suppliers and ask for a freebie or two if i can

At the moment my fiddle toy is silly putty, it comes in a little egg shaped pot and is like playdough (well a bit) you can stretch it, mould it etc and it really helps me, especially in the pub etc because it means i can play with it discreatly if that makes sense.

Went in to town to get a new supply today and found that Woolworths are selling 2 pots in a pack for £1.49 in their smart price section with the kiddie stuff.

    Hope this helps someone else:j

Morning all, been up about 45 minutes now, not really craving a smoke just keep foregetting and thinking oh i'll go and have a ciggie then i remember that i cant, but it isn't bothering me. I am usually out of bed in the morning put the kettle on, and be having a fag outside in my dressing gown, while the kettle boils, then another fag with my cup of tea. I did tend to smoke more in the morning. Feeling really positive today.

    Jellie welcome aboard.

Kirsty how did you feel on day 8 of tablets? they knocked me out. and well done for stopping yesterday

puzzledbubbles well done on quitting and keeping it up i am looking forward to getting to a week, those tangles are great arent they once you pick it up i cant put it down, good idea to take to the pub with you.
