    Morning everyone,

Well done Feelinglow, same morning routine as I "used" to have, seems strange saying that when today is the only day I've not done it that way!!!!

Managed to get through the day yesterday. The hardest part was after tea.

Day 2 - Day off work today so have organised in my head lots of things to do. Update Banking, washing and ironing, gardening if the weather stays fine. First thing I thought of when I woke this morning was "Cig's". and I must admit its been with me every waking minute since!!!!!!!

Wishing you all a lovely day and sending good positive thoughts your way.

I was a bit like that too, but it does go away, just think about how much time and energy you used to put into thinking about smoking 'I'll do this then I will have a cig', or 'I'll have a cig now then I can have another in x mins before I go out', or 'I won't have one yet cos I only have x left' or 'kids will be wanting a cuddle soon so better not' etc etc etc

Believe me, you will start to realise how much they ruled your life and your thoughts and your actions. Just imagine how free I feel now :D that will be you :T

Having said that, I am working from home today, which I used to love, just do a bit of work then outside for a fag in the sunshine, then another little bit then back outside etc. I will be spending my ciggie time working so I can finish early and get myself into the garden proper :j

Good morning everyone, huge congratulations to everyone who is doing so well, don't forget, whether your off them a day, a week, a month, a year or more you're doing fantastic and you should remind yourself regularly that you're doing a great job, if nobody else is proud of you at least be proud of yourself!

I'm taking Champix and I also signed up for the nicorette emails and texts (shh, don't tell them ;) ) and the message I got yesterday was great, along the lines of:

"Stopping smoking looked like a mountain you couldn't climb, how's the view now?"

Blooming marvellous was my response! I like getting those wee texts, although I was supposed to get them first thing in the morning they normally arrive around lunchtime, good job I'm not counting on them to keep me sane in the mornings!

Have a great smoke free Friday folks and hopefully the sun shines on you all weekend (including Monday-woo hoo  )

awww, what a great post doltage!

well, these are my stats today so far:

1 day, 20 hours, 34 minutes and 59 seconds smoke free.

    19 cigarettes not smoked.
£6.00 and 3 hours of your life saved.
Your quit date: 4/30/2008 1:00:00 PM

I am changing my quit date to the actual date I quit (30.04.2008) as Mr P (quite rightly so) said to me...

"Pickle, why have you put the 1st May as your quit date when you quit a whole 19 hours before hand???? you are robbing yourself of your achivement!!!"

So, it's my 3rd day today. I'm feeling good :D
I had a really big craving last night... I mean REALLY big.
It only lasted about 5 minutes though, so no biggie.... MR P gave me a big kiss and cuddle and that helped! :D

I hope that everyone is having a healthy, positive, wobble-free day!
    much love to all...
    keep up the good work!

Too blooming right, as far as I'm concerned I stopped smoking the second I put my last one out! Make sure to change it on your SilkQuit meter as well!

Don't worry about what's coming out of your lungs, just over two days ago you were putting that cr*p into your lungs so you should be glad to see it-there's a positive side to everything that you go through, just make sure to look for it rather than focus on the negatives.

OK day 8 on champix and day 1 smoke free. Its a toughie. Especially when the boss stresses you out first thing in the morning

Anyhow, I'm craving big time now, can't seem to concentrate on anything else. Just a quick question......

The champix instructions says not to use ant NRP while taking it. But has anyone actually tried gum? I'm wondering if it would be better to have a piece of gum and make sure I stay off the blasted ciggies for sure!
