Morning to everyone
It's amazing how many of you are on the Champix now, when this thread first started there was just one poster that was put on it and we knew nothing about what it did! Amazing how quick these things get established. I'm so glad it's helping so many of you, it certainly sounds like an amazing drug.
Good luck to all and keep up the fantastic smoke free work

I had patches and they worked well for me. I counted up how much money I've saved by not smoking and it's now just topped £600!!
Same here.
That was over 4 years ago and I'm still happily 'given up'.
I must sit down and work out how much that has saved me so far.:oFree/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Yes and it's something you'll probably want to keep an eye on. I didn't and having done a few extra mini-shops, I realised the money not spent on cigs is pretty much paying for the cake, choc, crunchy bars, extra fruit, etc, that I'm consuming! Weight wise, I've put on a bit, but being skinny (I know  ) it's not such a bad thing at the moment! Now trading in snacks for drinks of water!
Kirsty - day 2 of Champix I started to naturally cut down...just by not having the craving, the period of time between having ciggies got longer. Seems to be different for everyone though.
Day 6 of not smoking for me and it's been the hardest day so far. So have tried to keep busy - been out shopping this morning - all stuff for ds who's grown again, cut the lawn, washed the car, washing/drying on line/ironing all done. Will start housework soon to keep me going!
Beautiful day here too and for the first time in 5 years, my Wysteria is bearing flowers :T . Hope everyone else has had a good day.Back on the DFW Wagon:
