Thats exactly right, i am now on day 3 of taking champix, and have sort of lost the desire to smoke, its quite odd. Looking forward to tomorrow when i start to take 2 tablets a day. Not had any side effects yet, apart from some odd dreams, fingers crossed.
Keep it up everyone.0 -

Well done everyone in your not smoking-everyone is doing really well, as I've said many times, if you fall off the wagon justr get straight back on.
I've been stopped 5 months (as of 1st may 2008). I think I've probably saved just over £600-though obviously I haven't got the physical cash-unfortunately, though I have been saving since last year and I have got about £465 saved up. I know on other threads people say if you have debts, loans etc it's daft to save until they are paid off, but If my washing machine or car or something go kerput it's a comfort zone having some money aside so they can either be repaired or replaced etc. and if christmas gets here first, it's good to know I can pay for it easier.
Anyway, I digress, continued good luck everyone. Oh and for the benefit of any newbies, I went cold turkey when I stopped smoking.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Naomi and Kirsty - it's great to read your progress and definitely sounds like the Champix is working. :T Re the dreams thing, the No Smoking Counsellor I see, said Champix awakens the brain for the first 4 hours and he recommended taking it at least 4 hours before bedtime to minimise the strange dreams. He told me loads of stuff that's not in the leaflet, so I'll post up when I remember bits, in case they're useful for others.
Day 7 of no smoking for me and has been better than yesterday, though still managed to eat a mountain, even though I've spent most of today gardening and keeping my hands busy.I'm actually looking forward to getting back to work on Tuesday, never thought I'd say that! :rotfl:
Hope everyone is enjoying the Bank Hols weekend.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Thanks Ali and kirsty, i have definately have been smoking a lot less but eating more. My quit day is next sunday, which will be day 11 of the tablets. Today i have bought some games for the playstation to keep me occupied for when i stop smoking and also have purchased one of those tangle things to keep my hands busy. I really want to quit this time,as i feel if i cant give up on these tablets i will never give up, so will be trying really hard. Thanks everyone for your support and will keep poping into this thread several times a day to let you know how i am getting on.
Well done everyone, keep it up.0
