The Giving Up Smoking Thread!!

hi feedum,
it has gone a bit quiet in here, it does that sometimes, I am never quite sure if it is beacuse people are struggling or slipping up or because they are doing great and they don't feel like they need the support that this thread gives them. There is also the paranoid bit of my head that says it is because they don't like what you have to say
DH had some bad news today so I had to rush home from work early to talk to him and just be here. In the past this would have meant 40 minute stressful drive home = 4 fags MINIMUM.
I didn't buy any of course and the only person that I 'know' who smokes nearby is the lady across the close who only moved in last week!! I have however drank 2 cans of lager (anyone seen the new ones with a ball widget inside?) and a V large glass of red and I have eaten half a GIANT bag of haribo marshmallows. It's been a testing afternoon but I have got through the worst of it I think (HOPE)!!
Anyway - I am rambling - DH is in the bath so I best go check that he has not stuck his head under...
Hope you are all doing well - if you are reading this make sure you say hello and tell us where you are at.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Evening all
Day 9 of Champix and from 20+ a day 10 days ago, I'm well into single figures and continuing to drop more ciggies by the day. I'd have normally bought another multi-pack by now, but I have 2 packs left of the last one still :T and will have stopped before I finish those. So there's my first saving of £27.24.
My counsellor has advised that I will probably mourn the loss of my little white friend (now a fiend) and I'm slowly getting used to not relying on it.
Hope everyone else is doing well.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Cheers feedum - it is certainly going to add up quick. Looking forward to not having to pay it out ever again! Hope I don't replace it with spending it on too many snacks instead!Back on the DFW Wagon:

Adz - work stuff, he runs his own business and it is bl00ming stressful being responsible for the (financial) lives of his staff if the work doesn't roll in at the right time....
feedum, I think you need to run up and down a few more times to work off my marshmallows too(do you think exercising by proxy works? or maybe virtual exercising will do me some good :j:j :j :j :j )
