Is there any chance I could join? I am just about to buy a house and could well do without the expense of smoking:rolleyes: smoked a packet every 2 days for 20 years, tried hypnotherapy (worked for 3 months, then it was my birthday, booze and cigs:rotfl: :rotfl: ) read paul mackenna quit somking book and allan carr and listened to both their cds of support/hypno/calmness etc, been to the docs and they offered nicorette patches which I have not done yet, fully aware of the health damage, the expense and the need to quit but don't seem to be able to , not for want of trying and then I give up .....

My brother used to smoke 2 packs a day and he gave up with the 40 to 1 a day idea and it worked for him.

I read about the new gum that is working for my friend, 7 weeks now since she last had a cig, I am full of admiration for her and envy and a need for it to be me:rolleyes:

    Hi

If you can remember a while back I said I had a cold. Went to the doctor today for a check up and have an infection. Got antibiotics prescribed.
    Two things to mention

1...The price of a prescription :eek::eek: £7.10. !!!!!! is that all about

2... Doctor "Do you smoke?"..me "NO". Felt good saying that.

Going to have a lay down now to get over the price of medicine :D

    Good luck everyone

Hope the antibiotics help, £7.10? Steep but I suppose it's £1.44 more than we all used to burn on a regular basis :p

Good to see we've got another few joining the club here and some old timers reminiscing about it all being fields around here ;)

Hope everyone's having a good day, day 21 for myself, feeling quite good about it, the cravings are down to about 10 a day now which is a huge drop from the first few days so I know something's working it's magic!

Good afternoon everyone. Hope you are all having a nice smoke free day. I had the most horrible experiance on the bus this morning. When he bus pulled up at a stop this lady stubbed out her fag and got on and sat right behind me. She was stinking of stale smoke and was wheezing really badly all the time. And she was only about 40. I thought OMG!! that would have been me. So glad I stopped!! Have a great monday, well as great as mondays can be, x

It really does smell filthy! I was dancing with a cousin of mine on Saturday night just after she came in from having a smoke and it was horrid-not only my dancing :p but the smell of the smoke was horrid too!!
  • Oh the horrors of smelly smokers

I can tell when I walk into my office whether the smoker is in the building or not - it is scary.

Doesn't it make you wonder how people sat next to you without holding their noses :o

No more smelly smelly for us :T

I have just booked a holiday to Cyprus for 1st week in May - lots of sun-fuelled holiday drinkies - this will be a test of my will power!
