Well done FBS, 4 weeks!! :j :T
Plus you didn't have a drink either so saved your liver a punishing!!
Never mind putting on some pounds eating all the biscuits you've gotta have one vice....that's what I say anyway!!
So pleased that I've got through today, had a tough day with it. Everyone I know doesn't smoke so after day 1 it was old news and I'm sat here bigging myself up and they're like, yeah....that's great... I say WOOOOHOOOO!!!
Hope you're all doing well and not craving too bad.
Ringers - how's your first night going??

Evening all!
Great to read everyone's updates and is there a choc-o-meter anywhere as I think I'm going off the scale for mini-bars consumed since Tuesday :rotfl: I did get a great buy of 22 x choccie biscuits for 99p (2 lots) Blue Ribband and Breakaways, plus a large bag of raisins when we did the weekly shop tonight, so will make a change from milky ways and mars bars for the ongoing nibble habit I have now acquired!
Thanks Oops re the cartridges - I've found 108 of them lurking with 140 lozenges, so should be ok for a while yet!!
Ewwww on your cough Jo... hope it is over with quickly and fingers crossed you can sort childcare for next week.
Well done FBS on your 4 week milestone :T
Have been upbeat today, so worked out that between now and end of the month I'll save £57.20 - so have set up bank transfer for it to go into savings and I HATE dipping into that!
Tomorrow evening will be a test for me - will have free time and peace and quiet as DS goes off to his Dads for the weekend. I think a pamper plan is needed so I have something constructive to do - or anything that means being in the bathroom all evening! I know - let's compile a list of 20 things to do in the bathroom that will take up 2-3 hours (excluding cleaning!)
Good luck everyone for tomorrow - onwards, upwards (and rapidly outwards at this rate  )Back on the DFW Wagon:

Oops, oh I hate it when that happens!! Thanks for the woohoo though, I presume you're doing well?
Ali, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Blue Ribands!! Haven't had one for years so now going to have to go find some tomorrow, I really hope they sell them in Tescos...all I've thought about is chocolate over the past couple of days!!Good luck for tomorrow, I could quite happily sit in the bath for a couple of hours, so long as I got the music going. I'm sure someone will come up with some suggestions.
Speak to you tomorrow

Jo - the Blue Ribband pack is marked at £1.99 and contains 22 bars, but Sainsburys are doing them at half price, so if you have one nearby, pop there and you should find them. Haven't had one for years (up until an hour ago
) and it was quite nostalgic.
Started writing that pamper list and got as far as writing bath....time to rummage through stuff for freebie deep conditioner, face mask, etc! Oh and added early night..haven't got to bed at a decent time once this week.Back on the DFW Wagon:

But not until the 25th May. I cant possibly cope with my exams and not smoking, so the day after my last exam I will be an ex smoker
Please will someone PM on the 24th to remind me!

Hi Pork Pie
Well done on deciding to quit. If you are on a personal comuter you can download SilkQuit which is a counter that shows how long it is till you quit then shows how much you have saved and how many you have not smoked. I set mine before I actually packed in and now it shows 4 days, 7 hours and 41 minutesI will try to remember but asking me to remember something is a sure way of getting me to forget
Well day 5 :T really didnt think I would get this far. Thanks to Jo for starting this thread and giving me the kick up the backside that I needed:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
Good luck.
I stopped ten years ago, and from the minute I put out the last cigarrette I knew I would never ever smoke again. It has required no will power, and no effort. The stress of divorce and financial disaster didn't once tempt me to smoke again. All I did was read Easyway.
Thank you Allen Carr - RIP0 -
Well said. Although I relapsed a couple of times since I first 'quit' three years ago, it's now been about five months since I stubbed out the last one, and this time it's for good. Never want to to smoke again
All down to Allen Carr. RIP Allen.0 -
Morning all
Well done pork pie and good luck for 25th!! :j Good luck for your exams too, what are you studying? I'll try and remember to PM you but to be honest my memories not as good as it used to be lol, why not set a reminder in your phone if you've got one that does that - my phone reminder goes off about 6 times a day lol!! Good luck!!
Ali, hope you managed to get yourself prepared for tonights pampering session, personally I would buy a pack of blue ribbands and sit in the bath for 2 hours then go to bed early feeling as sick as a dog lol!!:rotfl:
Oops, well done on getting to day 4, nearly a week now, can't believe how well we're all doing :T
!!!!!!, well done you've done so well, I hope I can also say at 10 years that it was easy.
Grey Pilgrim, you're doing great too, well done for giving up again.
I really enjoyed Allan Carrs easyway book, I liked all the analogies and wanted to go to one of his clinics. So sad that he passed away after helping so many people
Well I'm off work today, got the 2 youngest kids to look after so going to be busy and won't have time to think about the fags. Tonight might be a different matter though cos like you Ali I will be left to my own devices, OH's working on a late shift and kids will be in bed (hopefully) so I've just got the telly to keep me company. Although I do plan to get my SOA together and sort out my finances today/weekend so maybe I could sit on here and put a spreadsheet together.
Hope everyone has a great FRIDAY Wooohooo!!! :T :j :TDFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0
