Oh dear - seems like everybody is having a bad day today
have just had major argument with ex ( only still speaking to him as he hasnt returned my stuff ) but being nice at the moment is not working so he has just been well and truly told what I think of him and I should have told him months ago
don'tskipit - I managed 8 months last year and the year beforebut had just one then another one then bought 10 then was soon back onto 20 a day habit. It is so easy to get hooked again but if you get back onto the lozenges tomorrow I think you will still be alright - its not a habit again yet. Good luck and let us know how you get on tomorrow.
fieryblondescot - you have done over a month, thats brilliant :T can you contact one of the quit smoking helplines to find out how to get hold of nasal spray ? see how you get on tonight and if it gets too much get yourself down to boots and buy a nasal spray - DO NOT BUY CIGARETTES please.
Well done vindaveen :T:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
Hey guys,
Thanks for your support
Don'tskipit - it's so easy to become complacent, like Vindaveen said try and remember why you gave up in the first place (hark at me lol!). You've done so well, try and get back on track. Keep us updated x
FBS - you are doing SO well, you can not wreck it now. You'll feel like I do but 100 times worse! Ring everywhere possible tomorrow and see if you can get some nasal stuff, do you live in a village or something? I live near and work in London so there is shops everywhere you go so getting that sort of stuff is no problem, if you want me to get summat for you and post it to you let me know
Vindaveen, thanks for the support, I'm going to start again tomorrow I refuse to give in just after one. I normally would do, have 'just' the one then back on 20 a day! DH is my 'dear' husband, you might see that abbreviation used on forums (DD is daughter, DS is son, DW is wife etc etc).
Oops, how many magnums today then??
Ok, I'm back on track for tomorrow, feel mortified that I had one today so think I've punished myself enough today
Speak to you all tomorrow!!

Hi - can I join please? I'm trying to give up = it's after the kids have gone down and then it's kid of my time if you get what i mean! So it'll be hard but I've also started slimming world last week so full of good intentions. Also it'll save me & OH (who is giving up too) £75 a month which will cut 2.5 years off our dfd so is a major incentive (the health ones aren't enough at the mo!!). I also worry about when I go out drinking, but the smoking ban coming in will help me on that one

Morning all
Well back to day 1 but feels a bit easier than it did on my last day 1 lol!!
How is everyone today?
Sea, welcome :hello: good luck to you and Mr Sea, have you added any incentive between yourselves like having a small wager?? Hope your first day isn't too bad
Oops, good luck for the interview!! What time is it? Oooh and dishy vet, good luck with that too
Cathy, well done in giving up drinking, I really need to slow down on that too, I gave up drinking last July after a 2 week detox but started again at Christmas, it very slowly creeps up and up and before you know it you're back where you started, just like the smoking. In fact thanks for bringing it up, I've decided to knock drinking on the head today too, only allowed to drink when I go out (which is like twice a year lol!). Thanks for posting
Kathy, have you given up yet? We're here to support you if you wanna try
Right, better do some 'work' (although better pop onto the competition board first and do my comp quota for today)
Have a lovely day!!

oooh - I've given up drinking at home. Will drink when I go out or go round to friend's houses now and as I don't get to go out much it has definitely cut back on my drinking, which I think will also help with the giving up smoking!CCCS DMP:Feb 07
