i have booked 2 driving lessons next week to give me double motivation!
i washed my bed linen at the weekend and last night i could just smell Comfort as i fell asleep, no smoky smell it was lovely.
Well done FBS :j nearly a month for you :T
I was stood outside of a building today talking on my mobile phone before I went in and there were a few smokers outside having a fag - now I know Im only 2 days in on this attempt but I did get a little smug feeling that I am now hopefully not chained to dragging on a fag:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
Morning all
Having a bad morning, still smoke-free but really battling with it. Luckily I'm at work today and nobody smokes, I was the only one that smoked and used to feel really silly trying to make up excuses to leave the building for 5 minutes then have everyone complain that I stunk of smoke when I got back. Just blew £2.40 of my unnecessary tenner this morning on a takeaway coffee and toast to cheer myself up. Think I might go to the gym at lunchtime and get myself fit for summer!
Hope you're all having a good day! How you all getting on?

Jo.
I think you are allowed to treat yourself when you are doing so well with packing in smoking
:j Day 4 - WELL DONE YOU :j
good luck at the gym - I have started going again ( managing 1 hour per day at the momentbut am out of work so am making the most of it )
Well Im still stuffing my face  day 3 for me. I was a bit uspet this morning. I told a 'good' friend that I was trying to quit smoking again and instead of being supportive she said 'are you sure thats a good idea considering everything you have going on at the moment' as the old saying goes ' with friends like that - who needs enemies ' or am I being a bit touchy
Anyway have a good smoke free day fellow quitters :j
ps - isnt it your night out/in tonight FieryBlonde ? hope you manage alright:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
Oops, I only go to the gym for half hour at the most, the gym is in the complex where I work so got to fit in getting changed twice and eating lunch too, plus side is....it's free!! Plus I get to watch Neighbours!! In fact I'd better get going, only got 5 minutes!! Stuff your face for me will ya, I don't think I've got time today
FBS, enjoy your night out/in tonight - stay strong!!DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Guys your really motivating me I am mentally preparing for Tuesday going to Boots see if I can join the clinic,
I really want to stop!Isn't the knowledge that comes from experience more valuable than the knowledge that doesn't?0 -
Hi everyone and well done too.
Sorry I haven't been around for a couple of days - been busy going to planned events (free stuff) straight from work, but that's been a good thing - means less time to think about the evil weed!
Found things more difficult today and got quite irritated with people around methough they are being supportive and supplying mini choc bars. Not sure if that's to take my mind off smoking or to stop me moaning! :rotfl:
Still on a combo of inhalator and lozenges, will look at getting patches at the weekend when I can get to town.
Am loving the QuitNet updates - only 2 hours away from 3 days of not smoking :TBack on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
Well I've been to the smoking cessation clinic and got 2 weeks supply of patches and inhalator cartridges - well actually about a years supply of inhilator cartridges  I asked them to cut the prescription down as I really wont need that many but they said that was the minimum that they normally prescribe
Nearly through day 3 and Tescos have magnums on bogofwill be joining the MSE Fat Free Wannabee group next
Been a bit moody today but only with my ex BF and he deserves it
Well done Ali OK :T if you need any more inhilator cartridges PM me
Good luck for next Tuesday itsarichmansworld - hopefully we will all still be here
Keep going Jo - you are really brave going cold turkey :T how is your childminder ? Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
Morning all,
Day 5 and my chest hurts and I'm getting the clear out cough (sorry tmi!) but it's all good progress albeit a horrible part of giving up smoking. Feeling really quite moody and have to eat 24/7 but apart from that feel positive and pleased with myself that I've got this far
How is everyone else doing?
Richman, looking forward to you joining us on Tues (bet you're not!!), I hope we're all still here
Ali, well done, you're doing great!! Accept the chocolate, non-smokers don't get it so use the excuse to stuff your face!!
Oops, you're doing great too, if you have a load of cartridges left over why not sell them on ebay??! Childminder's still in hospital I'm afraid and doesn't know when she's going to be let outWe're panicking for next week cos we managed to juggle the childcare between us this week but I've got not holiday left and my husband can't get any days off next week either
Ah well, I'm not gonna stress about it.
Hope you all have a good day, stay strong!! :T
