  • Think I have sussed it - it's a bit like a bithday...so I celebrate on the 16th, which is 1 month after my rebirth as a non-smoker :p

I know it sounds silly but I was having this conversation with my hubby and he was wavering too (only I could make it this complicated) you wouldn't think I have 2 degrees would you???

Keep it up lads and ladies!

FiBe - you had better tell me whether you are a lad or a laydee cos I get a little confuzzled (is this the right time to tell carpetbelly I thought he was a woman too??) :T

    We're in this together!!

    Hello all,

I am new to all this, but thought i would make it public that I am giving up smoking on Saturday 19th April 2008.

My kids are begging me to stop and then my 12 year old daughter told me how much i spend on ciggies a year (20 a day) thats £1700.00 a year.

Just think I may need some help along the way. Have my money jar ready!
    Any other advise?????
    Help I am worried already!!!!

MFD, you can never tell a bloke you thought he was a woman  other way round is not so bad though, woman deal with these things differently :rotfl:

redkelly, welcome  good luck for the 19th :) Have a look at the first post and read through the reasons to give up, links and support stuff on there, when you're ready and not eating, take a look at the Max Kirsten link of a video that will really make you think. Let us know how you get on. In the meantime, lurk/post and bask in non-smoking vibes :D

Hi all....Well this is my third day of giving up and so far zero fags have been consumed.:j :j

For some reason today has been the worse so far, I imagine being back at work and going back to my place this evening (can smoke in my property) after being at the BF (used to smoke outside) for the weekend.

Can someone tell when it starts getting easier :o
