Well done everyone. I've been stopped just over 4 months and I have to say I don't often think about it-apart from OH smoking, I dont miss it. and I like the fact that I don't smell like an ashtray any more (unless OH is smoking in the house).
You should all be really proud of your achievements so far. Continued good luck with your quit.GE 36 *MFD may 2043

I'm using champix I used the patches a few years ago & I took it off to have a tab then put it back on again!! I've used the nasal spray which was just horrible!! I used zyaban. This is the only thing that has worked for me but I suppose different things work for different people!! xxxBEEN AWAY FOR A WHILE NOW BACK TO COMPING BIG STYLE!!0 -

Hi all, we seem to be doing very well by looking at the posts. LMTP, how did you feel when taking the zyban?
After 3 months I think today is the first day I didn't think of having a smoke when I got up.
How are you feeling now taxi73?0 -

I was tired, sickly, had really horrible nightmares, kept going dizzy & generally just felt low! I don't think they worked for me really I wasn't on them long enoughto find out I couldn't function & I think that was due to them so I just come off them & thats when I treid the nasal spray which was awful too :rotfl: I had really bad headaches & nose bleeds with that, like I say I feel the only one that worked for me is champixBEEN AWAY FOR A WHILE NOW BACK TO COMPING BIG STYLE!!0 -
When I took zyban some years ago I felt like I was drifting. Not sure if I felt low or not but, yeah, I've been sitting here thinking about it and I did feel low. Funny as they're meant to be AD's. I didn't want to smoke but I didn't really want to do much else either.
I knew a guy at work quite a few years ago, he tried to give up, had a large dose patch on each arm and passed out when he sneaked out and had a crafty cig!0 -
I worked on Childcare & we got a call in re a child overdose!! When I rang the hospital the childrens nurse said that a 4 year old got his mams patches & stuck 4 of them on his body! He was really sick not ill but like vomit sick!! Thank god the patches had just been decreased that day or the poor little thing would have ended up being really ill.
My friend is a smoking cessation advisor & we used to laugh when she came back to the office. She'd say I've just been to see such & such & they said oh no we've quit havn't had one for days! She said that house would be full of smoke & full ashtrays!!
My aunty used to take her patch off & stick it on her tab box while she had a tab then stick it back on her arm with a plaster!!
Sorry craving a bit bad there thought I'd babble on till it passed & now it has!!!BEEN AWAY FOR A WHILE NOW BACK TO COMPING BIG STYLE!!0
