Well I am still here, and still not smoking. 4 days 7mins according to my quit keeper. However, who ever it was said day 3 was hard, bloomin heck!!! I have had a rough day. Spent all of the morning and most of the afternoon arguing with BF. Then spent the rest of the day in a foul mood. Tring to lift my mood by watching a dvd and having take away. But I have not smoked one cig even though I have had a stress filled day :j :T :j :T . Hope everyone is doing good and having a nice relaxing sat night, x

  • LMTP - good luck for tomorrow - sounds like you are really ready to quit.

peachblossom - day 3 can be tough, but day 4 is easier. hope you are going okay.

coolmumh - ooohhhh - let us know how you are going! did DH stick your patch on your bum at 6am this morning??? :D

ym - well done you, can't wait to hear you tell us how you made 5 months...

ab - how you doing my old mucker ;) do you miss me at the weekend??? :D

    :A

Into day 4, can cope with the cravings it's the mind games going on in my head that are the worst. But I slept better last night and my DGS stayed over and it was so good not to keep nipping outside for a fag then feeling really guilty trying to explain to him why I needed a fag and he's only 3. He's a big part of the reason for stopping and it felt really good.

AB - I've been having weird dreams too on Champix, every night in fact! I'd rather put up with the dreams than smoke though.

Hi all, my first post on this thread.
I packed in smoking on 2nd Jan using patches. After the first few days I hardly thought about lighting up ever again.
My problem is now I'm off them!
This weekend has been really bad, I've done little else but think about it. I've not given in yet but I only have to look across the road from my house at the corner shop and know Ican get some with no effort at all!

Has anyone else felt the same after coming off the patches? The dosage on the small ones is meant to be so low that I thought it hardly mattered!

AB- I too had weird dreams when on the large dose patches also had to work away from home for a while and the bed I had then tilted slightly to one side-I kept having dreams of sliding down cliffs!

Well done peachblossom - I honestly believe it is the mindgames that drive us back to smoking, not the physical addiction. Keep going, it does feel fab to be able to hug and kiss kids without worrying that you stink like an old ashtray doesn't it - this is one of the biggest things keeping me going, the worry that my DSS and nieces and nephews hold their breath when they come for a kiss :o

shinyhead - keep strong, I am assuming the shop has been there all along so this is just another mind game - you can beat it.

I, my friends, have just been for a RUN! I didn't go far, I had to stop on the way and I feel like c.r.a.p. but at least I did it. Will tell you all about it when I have had a shower and feel remotely normal again :D
    Keep it up all. :T
