Evening, hope everyone is doing good, hugs to those who are stuggling. I am on day 5 now, woo hoo. Still feeling like having one every now and then but it is still only habit and not actual nicotine cravings I think. Not got a cold yet as a previous poster mentioned was a possiblity but might start taking muti vit and vit c again to ward anything off. Will start that as of tomorrow. I am also drinking tonnes of water as I have found that since I stopped smoking I have been very thirsty, anyone else??
    I have been very thirsty.

Well done Bellie, I know what you mean about wanting one, but its in your mind now, and not physical.

A few more days and you'll see smoking as something other people do.

There are loads of us then from the North west...Thanks for all the luck....I will have to try and read through the thread to see how long you have all quit for...did any of you feel nervous about quitting? and what methods have you used to quit?

Was not nervous this time as I knew I had cracked it. Mind you it was about my 10th attempt at giving up. It is purely a mental thing so I gave up with willpower alone as I feel it all comes down to that in the end. Whatever works though .

I'm not going to suggest a meet, but there could be one.

Yes, the best thing about quitting is knowing you have, everyday is an achievement, don't worry about your health and money, as benefits may takes ages to see.

never a truer word spoken Adzha...
Well done on doing it on willpower alone...
I don't normally feel nervous trying to stop but I do this time probably because I have tried loads of times before but I really do want to give up as it's stupid to smoke.

I have tried loads of times before as well before I was successfull. I really think this thread helped me as before I was alone and this time I had somewhere to get inspiration and have a whinge if I felt like it.
